Hi there,

Wondering if anyone can help me here.

Had to reinstall Microsoft Windows XP recently. All gone fine apart from Office 2007.

Last time I just upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007. In outlook, the mail account stored all mail in the outlook.pst file. Mail was displayed in the Personal Folders -> Inbox view.

Now, I have reinstalled XP, and reinstalled Office 2007.

Now, I opened it up, and there was already a default data file that was using the Outlook.pst file. I replaced this with the backed up one I had. Great. All the mail was back again in the Personal Folders -> Inbox.

Then I added the account details, as the outlook.pst file was not associated with an e-mail account.

The new account was created underneath it's own folder and writes to it's own .pst file. So I have this redundant default mail file that writes to outlook.pst that I am unable to update and receive new mail into. The new account is in it's own folder and writes to the new mail file.

Anyone know how to get the account to write to the outlook.pst file and be located in the personal folders -> inbox place ?

It's really confusing me, I can't figure out how to do it, and all searches are not helping. I can't be the only person to have this problem can I ?

:headscratch:
