Here's a internet history lesson. *.com was started around 97-98. I think I still have mod status there, but never go there. The site had some great people there, but became a dive very quickly. I'm not going to get into details. It was taken over by some people that thought everything was there way or no way. Kinda screwed up club. At the same time, many were going into the software and screwing the site up. Forgive me for my dates. We started Guitar Clinic 101 I think in 2000. I was one of the mods of the site. We had some awesome jams and had alot of fun. Egos and other issues changed the site and I'm sure owners and admin changed througout the years. I got out of it a few months after it started. At the time my youngest daughter also posted there and they accused me of double posting. Morons! Anyway, it has become like other sites. If your not part of the family, they most likely won't respond. Just my 2. Just the facts.

there are 2 reasons to be on a guitar site. the music and the people. this place has the best of both. the only problem i have is i have very limited online time lately and there are so many songs i just can't keep up anymore. having to download them to play them will not let me get past the the firewall at work with most of them. by the time i can finally listen to some they have been removed because of space limitations.
will we someday be able to stream the audio and purchase more space for our attachments by way of donations? a site this good is worth some dues.
I could write a book about my experiences at G101.
I'm sorry about it all. It got out of hand, now I'm banned for life over there.
I'd just like to say sorry about all that - but I still feel I was treated unfairly there.
I'd like to be a part of this site - maybe I have to earn all of your trust over again. Thats fine.
I'm just a regular guy is all - I've had a rather tough life - I've gone through a lot of heart ache - but I struggle on. You guys don't have to like me or anything - all I ask is treat me like a person first - and everything will be fine.
Once again, sorry if I ruffled your feathers. I'm trying real hard not to let it all happen again - because I believe in this place.
So I would also like to thank you guys for giving me the chance to participate here.

Okay Okay..... I"ve been over at G101 for 2 years, started posting about a year ago and am oblivious to the drama that is being talked about on this forum. I joined this site this year. I did notice that most of the regular names from G101 are here. I haven't been treated badly. I actually don't know what being treated badly should be. Anyway, I would prefer to understand the difference of this guitar family and that guitar family. Why is this site better or different over G101?:headscratch:

Well, it´s not a matter of being better or worse, in my particular case it´s just I think there´s a rounded 50 or so people who post music, listen to others posts, leave comments, and have a good time participating. I know there were more issues for the move, none of my busyness. Just take a look at how many posts you see nowadays on the songs over there, ;) , in comparison to here. It´s not a matter of throwing in your music and thats it :thumb:

I actually thought quite a bit about what you wrote. I agree with you Ukelele. Thanks for the insight.
