Sent this in a PM to Eric, but dunno when he will see it so thought the other admins might be interested, and just a heads up for any other regular users as lazy as me...
I mentioned to eric and a few other admins that I was getting login errors with the site.
Well, I think I have found the problem.
Both of the following addresses will take me to the site:
http://guitarblast.com
http://www.guitarblast.com
Now, I am guessing that most other users use bookmarks to come to the site and are using the http://www.guitarblast.com full address.
However, I come from the unix world, and so I just type everything in.
I am also a very lazy bastard ! Why type in http://www.guitablast.com when I can merely type in guitarblast.com and still get in ? This saves me a whole 11 characters that could be better spent in a porn search !
:woot:
Anyway, I always assumed that firefox would put in the http://www. prefix whenever I type in guitarblast.com. It appears that it does not.
Therefore, whenever I use http://guitarblast.com and try to log in, I encounter errors. I get the logged in successfully message, but when I click on proceed, I then find I am not logged in.
Whenever I use the fullt http://www.guitarblast.com address, I experience no login errors.
Hope this helps...
By the way, I use firefox 1.5.0.7 and it's the same whether I log in from linux or windows...
