Last uploaded on G101 a few weeks ago, but seeing that others are posting their (slightly) older covers, I thought WTF? (I remember it got fewer listens and comments than we'd hoped for as well - maybe this time, hey?)
I re-mixed slightly added some eq and pushed the volume a little to fill the guts out. Hope it doesn't clip too much at your end :toothless:
Biggus takes all the guitars up to the start of the middle section and also takes the main middle solo. I do all the other guitars, including the clean guitars and doubling up the string section with some staccato arpeggiated rythym - and also added an 'outro' solo (little artistic licence there).
Rod absolutely KILLS on this, but I added some compression to his vox to get more power out of them - and it amplified the delay repeats somewhat when they should have faded into silence, so it gave the vox a bit of a 'spacey' feel ... still, there's so much strong talent and control in there from Rod, I'm sure you'll all forgive me for it!
Rod claimed that performing this song 'stretched' him. In that case, I think everyone should try to stretch him some more, cause there's an awesome talent there that NEEDS to be heard.
