had this up on G101, thought i'd stick it here incase anyone missed it who may get use from it. And cause theres only 2 threads started in this subforum so far lol.

IMPORTANT: for this patch to do what it WILL do. You NEED an OVERDRIVE PEDAL (I use a BOSS SD1 Super Overdrive). Here is the order of the chain you should have your stuff set up. AMPLIFIER - DIGITECH RP100 - OVERDRIVE PEDAL - WAH PEDAL (if you have one) - GUITAR... Set the overdrive pedal on full on all of its knobs. The noise gate on the RP100 should eliminate the hissing that you usually get with an overdrive pedal. If not... make sure you have the correct adapter powering the overdrive pedal. if you do and still get hissing. Buy a BOSS NS-2 Noise Surpressor or similar Noise Surpressing unit. Should do the job. Finally... i also use the amps reverb set to 5 out of 10. so if the lack of reverb in this patch isnt enough for ya. just turn it up or something.

Now then... here are the actual settings :

Pickup Type : HS

Wah Type : off

Wah Position : off

Compressor Type : 1

Compressor Amount : 20

Compressor Gain : 0

Amp Gain : 10

Amp Level : 99

Amp Model : rE (rectifier)

EQ Bass : -10

EQ Midrange : 6

EQ Treble : 8

Cabinet/Mic : 3c

Gate Type : n9

Gate Threshold : 40

Effect Amount : 10

Effect Level : 10

Effect Type : CH

Delay Type/Level : off

Delay Time : off

Delay Feedback : off

Reverb Type : HA

Reverb Decay : 20

Reverb Level : 20

Feel free to ask Questions chaps. Will happily help you out if you plan on using this but have something you aren't certain about.

Would like to mention that i use the effects loop in my amp. Therefore the amp acts only as a Speaker really. Effects return into RP100 and then from RP100 into BOSS etc etc...

This sounds kewl. i still use a Digitech RP20 i got back in 99.. its still works great! i got a few presets i made on there a while back which i still use live.. its a mixure of EVH's (F.U.C.K) tone and Zakk Wylde's 1989 tone..

wonder if i can create a preset based on this RP 100 setting on my model..?

Hmm, i don't see why not. Unfortunately im not really familiar with the RP20... but the basic principle of this tone is sound and you should be able to get similar results on most rigs. Getting a nice vintage sounding marshall overdriven tone then overdriving it with an overdrive pedal. Wish i could help ya but i dont know the ins and outs of the RP20.
