I did this one a while back with a friend of mine. Saw everyone up here posting and wanted to share. It'll probably be a while before I get to working on any new covers, so in the meanwhile hope you enjoy this....

I'm playing the fuzzier rhythm guitar and.... Lord have mercy... I'm the guy singing. My buddy's on duty with the other guitar parts and we both doctor'd up the midi. We took sort of punk rock approach.

You are a FREAK!!!!......and i mean that with love and respect!!! LOL!!! Really cool job on this Steve.....I really dug a couple of the Monkeys tunes actually. They were as good as any of the POP bands of the day. Work up "I'm a believer" or Last train to Clarksville" They were cool pop tunes!!!!:thumb:

Freak? :notme: LMAO!!! Thanks for the kindness my brutha!!! I was tossed between this and 'Last Train to Clarksville'. I'm a believer would probably be a real fun one vocally, might have to put that on the list too. I have a nostalgic weakness for these guys. I watched the show religously when I was in grade school on summer break, Monkees 10:00AM Mork and Mindy 10:30AM. Thanks for listening John, you're the best!!!

Thanks a whole bunch strat, you made my day. I set out looking for songs that I can have some fun covering and put a different spin on. Since I'm a fan of Ramones type punk rock, this was an easy slide to put that twist on. Really busy right now and for the next 4-6 weeks, but if you ever want to collab shoot me a PM.

Theres a possibility Supercharged might be up to New York at the end of Sept. Hopefully we can put a plan together for then. I'll keep you informed.

Thanks KSDB! I'm not a big fan of my voice, but if I could get a few more in this vein I'd like to keep trying. More of my problem is not knowing anything about singing. Need to get some pointers and an extra 4-6 hours in the day wouldn't hurt either, LOL. Thanks again bro!
