That was really good. I've only heard Dave sing it but Sammy did a good job.:thumb: Ed looked so healthy, energetic and SOBER on that tour. I wish I'd have seen them then.

they have that eruption vid a LOT on youtube. it's a great vid, but they have to filter out the multiple vids somehow.

Actually Eddie was drinking in '95 also...he just wasn't stumbling. He said in interviews he was sober but I read later interviews with Sammy and he said Eddie wasn't sober during that period. Either way his playing was better. Hell, he was high as a kite in the Dave years on every tour and he played great. I think Eddie just lost his passion to play the guitar.

Does Wolfgang play guitar and if so I wonder if he's gonna be on his Dad's level?

You can what you want about the 04 tour and Eddie's playin but this has to be one of the cooler versions of Finish What Ya Started that I have heard, this is from Worcester, MA 6-20-04

that was a good version of "finish".........

That was a good version of Finish, he must have been sober that hour or actually concentrated on what key he was playing in.

ah i remember this vid. im not much of a EVH fan but i do admire him tremendously. Certainly playing sharp and looking healthier here... cool.
I like it at the end (The one Sinners Swing Posted) where Ed does that little "walk" he does. Kinda like a backwards shuffle - too cool.

He actually played with his dad during Eddie's solo on the 04 tour at some of the shows, I will see if I can't find a vid and post it :thumb:

how old is wolfgang there? he looks real young, yet he's taller than eddie (or so it seems...). that is definitely one of the luckiest sons ever.:(
in that video he was about 13/14 depending when the show was.. his birthday is after *** 316 **

that's freakin' sweet!
It's so sad too see what eddie's done to himself. :(
I read on another forum recently where in an interview he did nothing but bad mouth Michael Anthony,Sammy Hagar and David. He also came out with weird comments like: smoking didn't cause his cancer, it was due to him putting metal picks in his mouth. Also stated, with himself, Wolfgang and Alex now playing together they are better than Van Halen etc.
Sadly, with all the years of abuse he's done to himself, it certainly sounds like he's done some serious grey matter damage. :(

The part i love the most about that video is when it comes to the part where the band does stops and eddie shreds through the gaps ... you can tell he forgot it was coming then when the first hit comes he quickly reacts and pulls it off so well . so awesome !
