OK here is a brief run through for using Battery . I was going to do a full * how i create a backing track * type thing , but i soon realised i could be typing forever:headscratch: , so i have chopped it down and hopefully got the important bits in . I have only just started using SX myself moving over from VST and I'm still not totally convinced SX is better when it comes to just making a backing track , but i surly know it has to be . No doubt you guys will spot my wrong doings and let me know where I'm going wrong !;) lol , anyway click on the link below .

It's actually quite useful for those of us who want to learn how to start out. Not everyone who buys the program knows this, we all have to start out somewhere. If you have nothing constructive to add then I suggest you move on and ignore this kind of post instead of shitting on someone elses work.

You sound like a Cubase veteran in which case the post is not aimed at you . I realise 90% of folks can use this sort of thing without any problems .This was put together for those newbies who would like a helping hand . i appreciate it may not read like a Mills and Boon , but if one person can get something from it , well I'm a happy man . :thumb:

Awe damnit, thanks VERY MUCH man! I gotta install cubase and battery to practice with this one. BTW, I have 1 gig RAM, would that be enough to support all those things open at the same time?

Yes no problem at all . Battery appears to use very little resources as its triggering , and not generating . Software like Ozone , Guitar rig , Korg legacy etc use the CPU to generate sounds . so you should be fine . Incidentally this is my 4th day on SX moving from vst and i'm still not entirely convinced . The software and what it can do on paper is superb , but from a get down and do it point of view , it seems too complicated . Maybe Cubase 4 will clear that issue up .
