1. Did you have any guitarists in your family as a child? My Uncle (Dads Brother) played guitar. Although i never actually heard him. He unfortunately passed away when i was about 9 or so.

2. Type of music you were first exposed to? I kinda grew up on Power Ballads and stuff (explains why i love a good ballad so much lol). Thin Lizzy, Dire Straits, Chris De Burgh and The Beatles etc etc. My dad would always have that stuff on

3. The First Band(s) that influenced your current musical taste? My first major band was probably Creed lol. Being British i wasn't really aware of the massive love/hate relationship America has/had with Creed. Although Hendrix was my first major musical icon and hero.

4. Have your musical tastes changed much since you were a teen? Well... im only 20 so i guess not hugely. I still like Hendrix and Creed/Alter Bridge and Vai and Yngwie.

5. What age did you learn your first chords? 13 i think. On a cheap nylon string classical guitar from Argos catalogue lol. Got it on christmas day (2 days after my 13th birthday). I got my first electric a year later on the following Christmas. And the summer following i started taking it all very seriously. And have'nt stopped since.

6. What was your first Electric Guitar? Still have it? My first Electric was an Encore Stratocaster rip-off. Sunburst colours and rosewood board. Did it's job and i got started on it. But i sold it a couple years ago when i updated.

7. Ever in a working/gigging band? What year was your first band? Not sure really. have been in bands but they never seem to go anyplace. Other memebrs never seem quite as desperate to just play and write as I am. Had some gigs herew and there though never got paid for em. my first band was probably about 2000 or something i guess... maybe ? ... lol.

8. Names of your most successful bands? (Professional or not.) We never really got that far to be frank with ya LOL.

9. Ever opened up for a famous Band? Who? Nopers.

10. Are you in a working band now? Nah, in a band though... sort of. Not had a practice for a while.

11. What famous musicians have you met? None.

12. Worst stage experience? Elaborate. Well... there was the year 11 Ball i played at... just me and my pal... we both sucked. And i started to sing my song... nobody could hear it. So we started a different song and we werent in tune together so i just mimed the whole guitar playing and didnt sing either... total disaster but we opened up the whole evening so at least people were relaxed and laughing together LOL.

Then there was the most recent gig where nobody heard me solo. Not even me...i did manage to throw in a massive sweep right at the end though and i think everyone heard that. so.... made up for things a little bit. *ahem*

1. Did you have any guitarists in your family as a child? No, but my Grandpa played the Fiddle.

2. Type of music you were first exposed to? 50's Music, Elvis, Kiss, Rush, Johnny Winter, Ted Nugent.

3. The First Band(s) that influenced your current musical taste? Well my first influences don't really reflect my current tastes. Maybe a little.

4. Have your musical tastes changed much since you were a teen? YES! After all the metal and hard rock - I got into acoustic slide guitar a lot, and also Classical guitar. Currently I am more into the acoustic stuff than I am into electric. (What a shame!) But I shall return to my hard rock roots very soon.

5. What age did you learn your first chords? 13

6. What was your first Electric Guitar? Still have it? My first electric was a Harmony Strat copy - I got it for Christmas - and a crappy amp. But I was excited as HELL about it. No, I don't have it anymore - I destroyed it via experimentation.

7. Ever in a working/gigging band? What year was your first band? Yes! First working band? Started around 1992. But first band to play in was around 1978.

8. Names of your most successful bands? (Professional or not.) Paradise - Mysterious Ed - Wolf Creek Revised - Indiana

9. Ever opened up for a famous Band? Who? Well sort of - ever heard of a crazy band called Flipp? (http://www.flippcentral.com) We opened for them in Minneapolis - it was their first gig. Now look at them go!

10. Are you in a working band now? Not now. But there is one band that is currently seeking my services. Haven't decided to join them yet. I'm frying other fish at the moment.

11. What famous musicians have you met? The band Diamond Rio

12. Worst stage experience? Elaborate. When I was in Paradise band, we played a Knights of Columbus event in Minneapolis. When we first walked into their hall, EVERY table had a full bottle of, Vodka, Brandy and Whiskey on it. I said to the guys "This night is gonna suck" and it did. They got all sloppy drunk. Of course, then they wanted to hear some Rock and Roll, no problem right? Well we started out with Eruption and then went into You Really Got Me. But during the Eruption solo, all the drunk Knights of Columbus bum rushed the stage - they started screaming at the top of their lungs, "Stop! Stoooop!" They were all waving their hands and throwing napkins at us. But we didn't stop! We ignored them and kept right on going. Ahhh the good old days. .

I bought a new pack and they worked perfectly ! Store wouldn't give me a refund for them either. :mad1:

On the plus side though, everytime i break a string on stage i really don't give a shit anymore cause it happened to me so many times

1. Did you have any guitarists in your family as a child? No. my mom played piano and my dad could play polkas on a button box accordion. My 4 sisters and 2 bropthers can all sing and play trumpet, sax trombone etc. my oldest brother when he was stationed in Vietnam played trumpet and sax in a small army combo and they used to be the opening act for bob hope when he would visit the troops. He was the one who brought home a guitar while we was on leave and left it there for me to play.

2. Type of music you were first exposed to? 50’s and polka

3. The First Band(s) that influenced your current musical taste? Beatles, deep purple, zeppelin ,queen, Kansas ,ufo, yes, Montrose, scorpions with uli john roth

4. Have your musical tastes changed much since you were a teen? Not a lot. I’m more open to different styles but I still love anything with a good guitarist

5. What age did you learn your first chords? 9. I grew up on a farm and had nobody to teach me anything. Learned chords out of a glen cambell songbook

6. What was your first Electric Guitar? Still have it? God no. it had no name and the strings were about ½ inch from the neck. Was a sg copy and was awfull.

7. Ever in a working/gigging band? What year was your first band? Yes for 34 years now. Started in 1972 . 15 yrs old. Played 50’s and santanna, beatles etc We had to have our parents come with us the first couple times and then we could just bring a signed permission slip if we had played there a couple times. Played a few bars, fraternity parties, prom and homecomings.

8. Names of your most successful bands? Komen, sass, grand slam, the kicks band, white rhino and renegade

9. Ever opened up for a famous Band? Who? Ronnie Montrose when he was with gamma, head east, and foghat.

10. Are you in a working band now? Yes . www.therenegadeband.net

11. What famous musicians have you met? Just the guys in the bands we opened up for.

12. Worst stage experience? We were playing a biker party and they had the traditional big tit contest on our stage during our break. well they whittled them down from a dozen or so to two girls in the final. 1st prize was about $250 so they both wanted to win. (just didn’t seem fair that one girl would win that much cash and I would make $50 to play for 5 or 6 hours) anyway in attempts to win they both ended up completely naked. We had taken our places back on stage so we could start playing after they picked the winner. Winner was chosen and I asked her over the mike what her name was. She said Debbie. I said hey I’m dallas. Aren’t you supposed to “do” me? (I was making reference to the classic porno: Debbie does dallas.) she yells “you asshole” and attacks me. Next thing I know I’m on the ground laughing my ass off and this naked chick is beating the hell out of me. Of course the other guys in the band are laughing so hard they wouldn’t help me. She finally got tired of punching me ( I’m still laughing the whole time) and gets up and runs off the stage. Funny how she could be completely naked in front of a couple hundred bikers and yet be insulted by my comment. Wait a minute…Actually I’ve changed my mind. Getting beat up by a naked chick on stage is one of my best experiences. But she did put a scratch on my les paul.

1. Did you have any guitarists in your family as a child? Yes my Uncle played acoustic. He only knew a dozen tunes, but me as a little guy still in diapers, I would sit and listen to him for as long as he played. I was totally amazed with the guitar and the sounds coming out of it. My Grandmother sang and played country guitar. They never taught me any tunes, but watching them play got me hooked

2. Type of music you were first exposed to? My Dad plays drums and most brass intruments. He was a founding member of the Stardusters. They play the big band stuff like Glen Miller. My Mom plays piano. So I was exposed to a lot of 50-70's music. They are also Christians so I was brought up on a lot of gospel music too. But there was a dark side to their tastes...Barry Manillo, Neil Sedaka, Perry Como, The Carpenters, Captain and Teniel, The Osmonds. So you could have titled this one "Type of music you were first subjected to:D

3. The First Band(s) that influenced your current musical taste? We as far as current musical tastes thats easy, Kiss, Van Halen, Ozzy, Pantera.

4. Have your musical tastes changed much since you were a teen? No. My tatstes have been, and will always be Rock and Metal. I will say as I've gotten older, i've been listening to heavier and heavier stuff.

5. What age did you learn your first chords? I learned my first chords when I was 15 (1979)

6. What was your first Electric Guitar? Still have it? It was my grandmothers Fender. I was prob too young to give it to beacause I ended up doing Pete Townsend with it instead of learning how to play it. So no I dont have it anymore lol.

7. Ever in a working/gigging band? What year was your first band? Yes. The was Sabre. We were all in the Army stationed in Germany so every chance we could get we were gigging in and around the city we lived in. The year of my first band was 1983

8. Names of your most successful bands? Sabre, Pegasus, Random Blakk,

9. Ever opened up for a famous Band? Nope. We did the club scene and never opened or closed for anyone.

10. Are you in a working band now? No currently but thats the plan for the future.

11. What famous musicians have you met? Been to a lot of shows so there is a long list but ones that sick out are Kind Diamond, Jesse Dupree, George Lynch, Disturbed, NonPoint, Mudvayne,

12. Worst stage experience? Kicking ass on a tune in front of about 350 people and then breaking a string (Ibanez Roadstar II with trem)with the one and only guitar I had with me that night. So the tune instantly turned into a 10 minute bass solo and then a 10 minute drum solo while i knelt on the floor behind my stack and changed the string feeling like a stupid tool!!!! Never played without a backup axe again!!!

The Beatles, Stones, Animals. and other chart acts in the 60's. My Dad had younger sisters who were about 10 years older than me, so when we visited the 45's were a playing. ( Liz, Mon & Thersea, thanks) and Marie & Rita.

3. The First Band(s) that influenced your current musical taste?

No I Don't think so. I've always listened to everything or anything and judged on my opinion, whether on record or at a club level.

6. What was your first Electric Guitar? Still have it?
Still have it; Hell No; Guy Forkes took that before Global Warming.
I bought from it from a guy round the corner, it was shite. Then in 78' I got a Hondo LP copy, twated the neck and the local shop Guitarzan put a new one one on for £45 , which was well over 1 weeks wages at the time, but well worth it. (Cheers Grandad)

7. Ever in a working/gigging band?

Probably my brother (Ian) turning up and then realising that I couldn't tell any forthcoming children or Grandchildren of the Grandure that's always in my head
