Here is my latest project. Anytime by the michael schenker group. i love a lot of guitarists but theres something about michael schenker that draws me in. i asked jamie (avalon) to assist me by doing the drums, keys and bass. i did all the guitars and vocals. it took me a couple days to do the vocals because it's so high that my voice wouldn't hold out very long. i would do the verses one day and the chorus the next. robin mcauly is a fantastic singer with msg and i did my best to try and cover him. i put on my schenker hat and dusted off the old vibrato and really had fun doing this. a huge thank you to jamie for helping me out and being just a great guy to work with. i hope you like it.

considering that I really don't like stuff like this, this is a pleasure to listen to. Very cool backer (I would have brought up the bass drum a little - or added some compression .. but that is me being mega picky because it is rather excellent) Vocals are very impressive as always .. great harmonies. Guitar is sweet as!

Its great to hear this finished mate, when i sent over the backer, you had a hell of alot to do on it, but you've sure made quick work of it :)
It sounds brilliant, the guitaring rythem, solo's and harmonys are perfect, and the vocals superb as usual :thumb:

The guitar work is really dazzling toward the end. That's my favorite part, but mostly because I'm a huge Schenker fan. Rest of the song sounds impressive--great teamwork.

thanks for the replies guys. jamie and i appreciate them. this is the first time i did a song where i started totally from scratch and it was fun putting it together. i can't thank jamie enough for custom making me a backer and diong such a quality one to boot. i have decided to re-record the solo at the end and make it more schenker like and not solo over the chorus. i guess when i spent so much time with the rhythm parts that i got carried away with the soloing when i finally got to do them. i plan to make them a lot more melodic and use a cocked wah for the tone to make it more schenker like.

Don't know this one at all...my main Schenker thing was UFO and the first MSG album...all I know is he's a scary bloody player and I left the hornet's nest of trying to cover his style alone because of it. This sounds very "Metal Mickey" to me mate and the voice is the iceing on the cake. Great stuff. :thumb:

thanks rick, chris and geordie. i'm with you chris on schenker with ufo and the 1st msg album being the best from the man. out of all the songs schenker did this one got the most radio play. hard to believe with all the great stuff he did. geordie i think you may be short a couple greats or did i count wrong? lol.

what are you kidding? re-post one of my songs? what is taking me so long. lol. this is the first song i ever did from scratch and not a backing track. jamie provided the keys, drums and bass. i did the guitars and vocals. all i had was the video from youtube and jamie figured out his parts from it. that still amazes me to this day. solo on the end is totally mine but i tried to make it as schenkerish style as i could. hope you like it and thanks for asking
