I've been wanting to do a rammstein cover for a long time, and now I've finally done one!
Did everything on this one myself, from a guitar pro file.
The vocals took a few tries to get acceptable... Nowhere near the power of the original tho :(

Any thoughts on the mix would be appreciated, a whole bunch of tracks to mix together in this one.


EDIT (2006-10-14): I redid this one a little bit, changed the ending to be like the original instead of fade out, redid the guitars and drums and tried to fatten and tighten it up a bit.

Sorry Per, it's been a crazy weekend. I think you did a great job with this. The vox sounds very Rammstein to me. Only thing I would suggest with the mix is maybe beefing up the distorted guitar tones a bit but that's just picky stuff. Scary sounding stuff man. I like it! :thumb:

Sounds excellent from where im sitting bro, always the same when i listen to things with my pc speakers most things sound lifeless, i plugged my decent earphones in and then you can really hear what is going on:rock: :rock: :thumb:

Not depressed John, but I was a bit hungover when I recorded the vox, maybe that helped getting a bit extra angst into them haha :D

I wouldnt quite say I speak german, I know a bit, been studying it for 6 years in school. Everyone has a 3rd language here, I think thats the case in most european countries.

I don't know my rammstein that well. by just listening to it though it sounds fabulous and your vox couldn't have fit in any better! Excellent production too!!:thumb:

Love it! Very Gothic and dark and the vocals sound exactly like I would have expected from the little Rammstein that I know. I agree with rain also that your voice would definitely suit some Type O Negative. This is good stuff mate...nice one. :thumb:

Yeah what a band to attempt to cover . German Gothic metal at its frightening best here . Guitars kick in with a superb tone and stereo pan . Acoustics are truly superb but man the Voices are pure Frank Zappa !!! .

I'm impressed 100% by this track . If i had to offer my own thoughts on the mix , i would have the drums more in yer ear , whatever this track is superb , and excellently executed .............

Thanks alot guys! I've tried to take some of the advice taken here and also changed some stuff I heard myself that I wasnt totally satisfied with, so I've uploaded a new version.

I´ve been proudly telling my students I was 24 (now 25) years in a row celebrating my fourteenth birthday. Ok Per, ya gdamn mofo made me realise I gotta update my musical tastes, but beware, I´ll only check on nasty tasty playing like this one, you demon! 5 here man! :yourock:

dark, in yer face, great production but drums do seem a little quiet to me.
