Ooh a Goport tune! Bar none my all time favorite musician in the history of G101, and I'm not just saying that I am a huge fan. I have heard this song dozens of times in my car and I can definitely hear the difference, sounds great man.

I haven't heard this for a while. I definitely remember it though because of the strong storyline. Very entertaining, lyrically. Some great leadwork in there too. I'm never disappointed with a Goport tune. What else you cooking up these days???

My favorite all time Goport tune is Live Round Here, followed by This Charming Man which runs a close second to Big Dreams which is a true classic! You gotta post these tunes dude.

I am going through a dry spell at the moment - to be expected I guess. I used up all my ideas and now I have to work at it a bit more :)

This Charming Man is actually a cover - and my version is a pimple on the ass of the original :)

Glad you liked Live Round Here Eric - it is the first tune I wrote that got me emotionally involved with the story. I never really thought about my characters in too much detail but that song really makes me get a bit soppy
Jeff - the lead in this song is the first time I tried to double track a lead (one clean, one dirty) and I was pretty damn happy with the result. :)

My father says this is the most autobiographical I have gotten to date. And he is right and wrong in equal measures

I´m listening to this and having a laugh, I always listen to music without paying atention to the lyrics (this one too the last time I heard it, shame on me) , but I did now, and it really sounded familiar to some personal experiences I´ve had, haha! Waay waay cool song man! No time for dry spellings dude, just smell a jazmin, look how that mighty perfect curves from the girl next door turns for saying hello, how the hell that little bug digs up that foxhole in the dirt so perfectly, grab a near to frozen beer, and grab your guitar, :), bring on more please!

i don't remember this song. i like it though. very well written and very melodic. well played too. sometimes when i would get a dry spell i would go see some live music and it would inspire me. i haven't written anything in a long time.

I really like this tune , the chorus is incredibly catchy , i'll be honest and say that i never listen to lyrics on any tune by anyone , maybe i'm missing out here i dunno ! but i listened to the lyrics on this one and was really impressed . cool stuff

Very refreshing, while still sounding classic! Some tinges of Bowi and Beatles in there - really nice melodies and well put together! Liked listening to this one! thanks :rock:

I'm sat here with the cans on , and im floored at the quality of the engineering thats taken place here . You're gonna tell me you spent 10 minutes doing it , but im not hearing it mate , this is a hand crafted masterpiece .

I guess if ever GB ever had to pick a song for the pop charts , your compositions would be most peoples choice , mine for sure . The clarity on this is supreme , and the Vocals sit in a nice bubble of open space .
When other instruments are introduced they get freedom and prominence , so every little quirk is exposed .
The tune is very Squeeze meets Xtc sounding , and i like that . Clever hooks never keeping on the straight and narrow . I like the feeling of the unusual in your tunes Lawrence , you never really know where the tune is going , and i applaud your writing skills .

incredible song! wow!! im floored. i hear a little Kinks influence in there vocally. great lyrics, i love this tune from beginning to end, a keeper!!!! i look forwad to hearing more Goport.
