Hi Guys,
Well, I have not been playing much recently....been doing a lot of stuff with my family and being a Dad. But I found this very nice little ballad backer which I had not heard before (wonder if anybody here has ?) so had a go at playing over it. The BT really lends itself to being a proper song so tried to come up with a little melody idea to bounce off of...I was a bit shakey on this one as whilst I was recording it, my two son's were beating the Sh*t out of each other with lightsabre's so was a bit distracted....let me know what you guys think cause I think I'm beginning to sound samey....time for some more practicing problably....:thumb:

Great stuff mate, sounds kind of Vai style with some other mixtures, it works brilliantly :thumb:
As for thinking you sound samey, in all honestly your one of the most well rounded guitarists i know, i've heard you play Satch, Vai, Malm, Moore, Johnson, and sound completely original on all of them.
I think one of the biggest traps for guitarists to avoid is only playing one style, and your as far away from that as anyone i can name.
Excellent work here mate, and we'll have to get GB3 on the road again soon :)

hey Ava & Bah,
Thanks bro's for listening and your kind words, really appreciate it. I must admit at the moment I'm feeling a little trapped with certain things that I find I'm always playing when improvising and stuff. I'm sure its just a silly stage I'm goin through.Lol. Guys, look forward to the next time we team up.

This was beautiful. Damn I wish I had an ounce of what you got talent wise. Love that tone, the sustain and vibrato is very Vai'ish:yourock:
This was a very nice piece, Wonderful phrasing.
Green with envy here mate:woot:
EDIT - That is a great tapping lick towards end of track you pulled off

Hehe...I saw the file size and knew IMMEDIATELY which backer it was! This sounds superb mate...very Andy Timmons to my ears. I used it to write a piece called 'Hope' on New Years Day two years ago with regard to the Tsunami that was so devastating. It's still one of my fave pieces even tho I was "very, very drunk" on brandy when I played it! In fact fell asleep and forgot all about it until I woke up the next day and saw I hadn't closed Cakewalk down.
Excellent work mate, there are SO many parts where we do a similar type of run. Very beautiful. :thumb:

Hey Chris,
I did a sneaky and checked out your version on your website. I had'nt heard that one from you before and it was awesome, I think your one has way more passion in it and there were lots that was similar as well, you don't know how close I came from adding volume swells at the beginning !!! Really enjoyed your version mate.....great stuff :thumb:

Beautiful playing, I especially liked it around right in the middle (canīt tell what sec because it doesnīt show on the online player), up til those "whale sounds" (volume pedal-knob on off?). Tasty all the way man!

Hey Ukelele,
Thanks bro, really appreciate you checking it out and that you liked it...those volume swell type notes were actually an effect on my Zoom called Slow Attack so as to give you this Violin type effect....Thanks for listening :thumb:
