HereŽs a lil old style boogie woogie in E I think it can be fun to jam over,:woot: . I counted seven cool spots, but I guess they can be fixed up in any other way you choose.
0:08-0:39 1st
0:39-1:09 2nd
1:09-1:39 3rd
1:39-2:10 4th
2:10-2:40 5th
2:40-3:10 6th
3:10-end 7th
any one up for it? IŽll take whatever is left available :)

Ooohhhh I love Boogie Woogie!

But I have to go up to the lake here in a few hours, I'll be gone till Sunday night - will that be a problem?

If not can I have the last slot? Slot 7?

I'll be able to put something down Monday if thats ok. .

Absolutely no rush on it man, :). Have fun in the lake! I remember catching a bunch of pikes with my dad at ND, half of em had to go back in the water cause they were not long enough, although they seemed huge to me!

Yeah thats called a Slot Limit - Vermilion has that now too. It's bogus.

Although I am not going up to the lake to fish actually.

This time of the year both my uncle's, my cousins, and family friends all go up to get ready for the Deer Hunt. (Whitetail) Clearing trails, building Deer Stands, fixing Deer Stands, sighting in rifle's, blowing stuff up, skeet shooting, looking at dirty magazines, drinking can after can of cheap ass beer, and general havoc and environmental destruction.

And guess what? I don't deer hunt! I've never shot a deer before. When I go up there I Grouse hunt. But it's still fun to help the old boys out - and get away from this city bullshit for a while.

But anyway, cool. Slot 7 please. Looking forward to laying down on this track.

I will give it a go Uke...

I've NEVER done boogie woogie on guitar ever so will be first for me. BUT I do this a lot on piano and B3 (when I had a midi keyboard!) I use my kids keyboard nowadays...anways. I'll take Slot 3 if that okay bro....:thumb:

Then that's really no more recording...for a little bit.

10-13-2006, 10:24 AM
Hey Uke, Well I'll do a guitar bit in slot3 and then if I can Midi up my kids keyboard I'll give it a go on the keys as well (if there is a spare slot)

Ok Uke, Ive done a guitar part in Slot 3 and a B3 Organ part in Slot5...to break it up. Hope that's o.k. The keyboard I used was my son's keyboard, its a bit of a toy with an aweful organ sound but luckily I stuck it through my Zoom Guitar FX with Overdrive and Leslie and its not bad !!.

I'll post both parts seperately so you can mix'em how you like.:thumb:

Where do I send'em too ???

Ok, I got Axe2grinds, Naifuzan and mine down. Whenever the rest of you guys are done I think the best deal is to upload it to fileshare and send me the link on a PM, as Axe had some issues with sending his files to my email address. I think IŽm gonna record a lil surprise at the start, :D .

question - you just want our section, right? or do you want the whole track with the guitar at the time alotted? i never did one of these, so forgive my stupidity.:notme:

Dallas
10-15-2006, 04:04 PM
Al your best bet is sending just the guitar in the slot without the backing. I'm sure Tony can figure out where you started.

guitaral
10-15-2006, 04:17 PM

guitaral

second, it is a high school club. i'm president. if someone brings a gun, they will have to get through me. i can be a very dangerous kid when i want to be. took kung fu for a while and got into SEVERAL fights during my junior high school career; i can handle myself.:chucks: :chucks: :chucks: :chucks:

Dallas / Guitaral,

Not too sure if you guys have done a jam like this before, the best way do things is once you've recorded your take, go to the BT track, and cut off the whole BT execpt just the clicks at the beginning. So that when you mix it down to an MP3, all you'll hear is the clicks at the beginning and then silence until your take comes round, you can cut off any silence after your take as that will not be needed. This way, Uke can just overlay your take over the BT and it will be in perfect time, he won't have to position it within the song to make it fit. Sometimes you may start your take just before you're due and finish just after and if that's not aligned correctly, you'll sound like your not playing in time. Hope this all makes sense.:)

Fast update, gotta move to work. All tracks sent and mixed, the only one missing is the last one, Paul´s take. And yes, Axe2gring is right, having the initial clicks not also makes it easer, but they are a reference for some timing-delay-stretching issues some tracks come with, mostly due to the sound drivers and/or PC with which the track is recorded. Sometimes you have two recordings over the same backing track, and one speeds up or slows down a tiny bit. Much easier to stretch-fit individual tracks with the clicks.
Anyways, this gonna sound great, :woot: .Catch ya all later.
