In my opinion....Elton's greatest masterpiece!!!

Here's the story behind this collab....after hearing a couple of Brad's (pianoguy) posts, I followed the link to his website and found that he had done a collab of this song.And it was gr8!!!! I messaged him and asked if I could redo it with me doing the guitar work.Brad on keys and Myles Loud on bass and vocals...hope my guitar did them justice!!

I'm listening to this on my laptop speakers at work so i'm not going to comment until i get home and hear it properly. But from what i hear now on my 1 inch speakers it sounds amazing.

Not a fan of Elton but this sounds excellent lads, i have to give you 5 stars for a great all round production:thumb: :thumb: :woot:

Chesum that was one hell of a tune!!! The harmonies on the guitars and vocals were amazing!! Perfectly done! I can hear the passion in your parts.

Wow!! So close to the original!! Unreal work on the keys pianoman. Myles.. Great job on the vox. Very much like EJ. Smoking guitar work SG... Tha was very cool. It was as good as i thought it would be. Even though I'm not the biggest EJ fan I can appreciate alot of his music. What a great production though!! This just screams talent!! Well, i'll just say That the piano, and any other underlayment there of, is just stunning!!!! You don't get to hear too much rock piano on these sights, let alone REAL stuff....and being played so professionally, with quality tone....AMAZING!!! The vocals, although going in a rougher, bluesier vein, still fit this so well!!!! And Robbie....you just floor me EVERY time bro!!! Your playing and touch are so incredibly right on!!!! And the tone!!! How you create such perfect copies of these tunes, i'll never know!!!! Absolutely a..........................................

I never heard much early Elton John stuff apart from the obvious singles .

The intro on this is very good , piano work is bloody marvelous !!:yourock: .

This is a long track , kind of reminds of Focus in parts . The lead guitars are pure quality , well done SG :thumb: . The complexity is quite astounding :headscratch: , this must of took bloody ages to put together .

These Vocals are cutting edge , as are the harmonies , they seem doubled which in my book is a recipe for success . Gotta praise these keyboards though , total class :rock: .Guys without going into things too deep this tune is a total knock out , consider yourselves nominated and whats more .....

It helps that I love this song and I'm sorry it's taken so long to d/l and comment. SG I'm a big fan of and know the effort he pours into anything he does.

Pianoguy and Myles I'm not so familiar with but the keys on this are stunning, full, sperbly mixed and played like a demon...I would really like to do some amazing prog with you Pianoman...I'm sure you would give it the full treatment. BTW, what are you using for your piano sample. I had a Alesis QS7 a few years ago and loved the grand sound but I keep hearing the Kurzweil is the daddy.

Myles, this is superb. Shades of Joe Jackson in the attitude and delivery...and that's a GOOD thing from me! Great stuff!

Wow - As a new member I'm trawling through the archives and finding some seriously great performances - Couple of years old now but well worth a re-visit. Would anyone happen to have a backing track to this? (minus guitar and lead vocals)

This is a fantastic rendition and enjoyable to listent too. Great work all around and no need to be concerned about whether you guitar did the tune justice. It was spot on.

Fantastic well covered tune guys, loved this one a lot. I'm a big fan of Elton and this is right up there. I've heard Dream Theater cover this tune and this is defo on par. Top work all round, especially the piano work, very nice indeed. 5 Star work Guys. :)
