Had to share this one with everyone because JPF just nailed this tune. We laid this one down a few weeks ago. When he sent this back to me I couldn't get over it!!!! Hope you don't mind me posting this up here JPF but this is a stellar performance with attitude from you. I added guitars and backing vox. Thanks Wah Wah for some great patches.

What is going on over at g101? They are still voting on the VH mp3 of the month contest and this has not gotten the votes that it deserves. It's simply bogles my mind! This is a great cover guys, overflowing with good times and great performances! Love it! :woot:

Excellent cover guys, brilliant work from you both :thumb:
Only thing i would change, is have the rythem guitaring out of the middle of the mix, it seemed abit crowded in there, but it might just be my headphones.
I would try the rythem guitaring 60-80% left and/or right, then its not competing with the vocals, just my opinion though.
Great cover though ;)

Hell, I already asked 'im (and I don't even play that much VH, but I'd make the effort for our resident DLR)... but to no avail.
Maybe the big pond is just a tad too big
Can't listen to this till I get home tonight ... but going by the previous works ... by BOTH ... I'm looking forward to it ... just don't take it down anytime in the next 10 hours!!!

Oh Gawwd ... it's EVERYTHING I hoped for ... AND MORE!!
Can't fault the playing, but I would have had just a tad less depth and mix intensity on the flanger .. and like someone else said, a little more thrown over to one side for the authentic EVH recording style ... but other than that ... just mind-blowing!
John ... you ARE DLR's (slightly) younger brother. Your voice and whiskey-soaked drawl are just PERFECT for VH and DLR material. I'd love to hear ya do something like "Yankee Rose" or "That's Life" ... now if only there was a BT for either of those ...
