My friend Mike Walter and I did this collab a few months back. If you're not familiar with Shooting Star, they were a promising band back in the early 80's, kind of along the lines of Kansas, and had several hits. Mike did the vox, guitars and bass on this one, and I did the rest, as well as production:

I saw these guys in concert way back when (early '80s) when they were in their prime. Great show and a great band. What a treat to see that someone else remembers them and then to go and do such a brilliant homage is equally amazing. The recording quality on this is awesome and performances are superb on this. The vocal work is uncanny. Sounds a lot like the original.

You ever hear of Morningstar, Missouri or Starcastle?? Other than Kansas, those were some of the other bands to sign major label contracts out of the area.
