Maybe someone can shed some light on something. I have been playing guitars for a few years and can't figure out why Fender and some others went to the non glossie natural necks. My first Strat(75) had a glossie V shaped maple neck. Ever since then, all the Strats I have owned have been the semi gloss. It took me 2 years to get my 99 glossie.(lots of waxing) and I'm making progress on my 06. Maybe I have been around Gibson's too long but I just like glossie necks. My point is that the semis seem to get dirty quicker and don't seem as fast.
