Hi there,
What with the new jam room that we have here on this site, I'm gonna want to go in there and jam for the masses along to backing tracks.
In order to do this, I'll have to connect my POD xt through my sounblaster soundcard.
Anyone have any advice how to do this, as I am gonna need to get some cables and adapters.
I know I can either go from the left output of the Pod xt, or from the headphones. But what I would want to do is still be able to use headphones so as not to disturb the wife and baby.
Could I go from the left output of the pod into the soundcard so that you guys could hear it and still use the headphones so I can hear it ?
Or will me plugging the headphones in automatically disable anything else ?
:headscratch:
Any help would be appreciated before I drop money on adaptors and cables I later find out that I don't need.
:D

USB will work fine, but no-one else can hear the backing tracks, even if you do send them out through the PODxt USB connection and can hear them yourself through the PODxt.
All right for just jamming unaccompanied though, USB works fine.

I use my gnx 3000 usb set the 3000 as the sound card and it works in jam room's. I would think that you could do the same thing with the pod xt.

I have NO idea...I can never get the thing to work in the Jam Room without serious pulling of the hair variety out of head. I'm downloading the gearbox without knowing what it does because it's free and I want free stuff!

It may also help to set the main windows mixer rec to 'listen to all' instead of just line in or mic.

Either.
Oh cool. Maybe I will try tonight then if I get my connection up. So the headphones won't disconnect the output to the soundcard then ?
Cool !!!
