Hmmmm. They keep finding ways to take away from the guitar to make it more afforable. BFG? We all know what that stands for! The only thing good out of all this mess is putting a P-90 in the neck. What do you think? First they came out with the satin finish, now you can buy a guitar that's not sanded. Just sell us a piece of wood and be done with it. Just make better guitars and take lessons from PRS. If your asking over a grand, It better be worth it. Guitar players don't want junk. We want the best bang for the buck.

Well mine is kinda different. I spent way too much money on it. It's a very sweet guitar basically all Eppies are. Get rid of the hardware and the electronics and they are just as good as a Gibson. The problem is when I got done, I could have bought one with the bucks I poured into it.
I don't feel the least bit upset because it sounds awesome!

Ive been using a Zakk Epi for over 2 years now. Sweet is all I can say. Its everything I want in a guitar. The HZ's that came with it didnt sound half bad, but I threw in a set of Zakk 81/85's. I bought an 84 LP brand new in Germany when I was 20. I played it for 20 years. Then I bought the Epi. I think the Zakk Epi is superior.

Kinda my point. I went to a guitar show and talked to Edwin Wilson. The Gibson guru. He's dumb founded about Eppies. There is also a article at 20th century guitar that Les Paul himself praised the Eppies. Said they were great guitars. That's why Gibson discontinued Eppie's level 5's. They were better than the American counterparts. I have owned a 59 ES 330TDC, and a 73 Gibson Les Paul, and have played a 76 Les Paul Black Beauty. My Ugly Eppie Kicks the crap out of all of them in the tone area. I'll admit it. I'm a tone freak. If it sounds like crap, I'll sell it. All my axes have a tone that I like. I have sold alot of guitars that cost me alot of bucks because I hated the tone. Fender MIA's, Gibson vintage and even a beautiful Schecter.
