This is one of my all time favorite solos. The melody is realy intense, and there are cool blues licks splattered all over it.
Look forward to hearing your version BluesGeek.

Cheers TnG, heres my go at it :thumb: it got a little unconventional at the end, but I figured it was crying out for a bit of tapping

Man, close one this. Bluesgeek has the more raspier souding bluesy tone that I like and that sounds great for this solo. But T's playing is just flawless and the arps and taps at the end are delicious and superbly well played. Im gonna have to plump for T here but this is a cool battle. Should be interesting to see who triumphs.

cheers TNG, I fully expect to have my ass whooped here though, yours is waaaay smooth :D We used to do it in the covers band I was in, and one night I thought it might be fun to tap it out.... not a good idea at 1:30am when you're on autopilot! I think I recovered well or the audience were too drunk to notice
I think I recorded this one so I could try the tapping section out :) any chance of a tab of the arpeggios, they sound wicked :D I won't have the fingers to make them work but I'll feel better inside!

Wasn´t expecting such a twist on a classic seventies solo, lol! I guess I like the original one better, but you both did a GREAT job, it sure shows ye got fire on your fingers, :toothless:

I think they were both pretty much note for note to the original until that final part ;) It just cries out for something a bit livelier nowadays, I know what you're saying though :D

Hey guys, you're really not making this easy! :maddance:
I kinda missed the last part from the original there tho, I think it's really beautiful . But your both versions were cool and fun. Great playing by both of ya.

I totaly agree Geek. The ending part is just too slow and over done...it is just begging for some improv :)

Went with Bluesgeek, I liked his tone just a tad better, but the decision was the ending, I liked how both of them came out, but the tapping sounded just so cool to me.
