I recently bought a pair of Behringer Truth Active monitors. They take Balanced 1/4" TRS Input or XLR Input. I use Guitarport to record into my Computer via the Guitarports RCA L/R Speaker "SEND" into my computers sound "IN".
Problem is:
A) Is the headphone jack on the Guitarport a "BALANCED" signal output? (If so, Im thinking a 1/8" Stereo Male Plug Y Cord to (2) 1/4" Female Adapters then to two TRS 1/4" Lines to Speaker L and Speaker R should work)
Or
B) Should I use the RCA Speaker sends on the guitarport? Are they "Balanced"? (If so, 2 Balanced 1/4" TRS Lines to 2 RCA to 1/4" Adapters should be all I need).
OR
C) Do I need a mixer? And if so, what is the best way to hook it all up with the signal path being GUITAR-GUITARPORT-MIXER-A) (output) to Computer IN
B) (output) to the Active monitors?
I bought these Active Monitors to help get a true mix from recording (Headphones lie!) but this is becoming a headache because I am an idiot when it comes to this audio technology.
TIA,
Pauley
