Original hard rock instrumental, no rules, just rock and roll....G

Hi there J.B.L., here's my tune, I put it together today in fact. I play bass, keyboard, rythm and lead guitars. It's a little rough, and the solo was one shot deal like I always do. I always play that way, because you don't get to overdub your live playing. I hope it comes through mixed OK, as it sounds good here, it doesn't always come through well on other systems. Good Luck.

Cool jam man. I like the melody and some nice lead playing here. About the mix, the lead, to my ears, sounded a tad low in the mix, but not so bad I couldn't hear it.

Overall, very nice job:rock:

P.S. That's what that part of the alphabet would look like if we didn't have Q and R.

Very nice tone Pro-I like the strings added, very tasteful.
Here is mine, more of a groove type rocker, I tried to mix up some different penatonic lix with some chromatic notes.
Good Luck pro, though you won't need it.:yourock:

I just realised that my solo track is out of sync. I don't know how, but it sounds like it is delayed or something. At first I thought it was crummy timing, but I just listened again, and it seems like it is slowed up or something.

J.B.L. very nice tune. I like the rythm guitar especially, killer tone. Thanks, for the challenge....G

Thanx, actually I wanna make an actual tune out of it.
Your tune sounded good, but if you wanna re-post yours you should,
I really liked the composition of your song, it's very smooth!!

Nah, thats allright. I went back to my recording software, and it's goofed up there too. I added a delay and reverb in the mixdown, and I think thats what did it. My POD XT Live doesn't push the effects through very well. What did you use to record the guitar on yours?

wow...no comments...both you guys sound remarkably similar. What is it with you cats from Illinois? Great tunes guys.

I am a friend of JBL, but I won't let that cloud my decission. I picked his tune for the articulation. Really guys, I am surprised no one has yet commented (or voted). Great playing both of you.

prostreeter: definitely had some ripping in yours and it was melodic as well - just an all around effort nothing bad to say at all here.

JBL: also had an abundance of tech in there - some very killer lines - I like how you used some bridge pup and some neck pup in yours for variety

I have no idea how to vote here, these are both awesome and both had superb feel - I'll probably have to have a few more listens :)

and really well matched, after several listens I'm plumping for Prostreeter just having that slight edge in terms of one I'd want to listen to again (first).

Both were technically so far above my level I'm not really qualified to comment, but just to say WOW my fingers got blisters just listening to them. :)

This thing shouldn't even be on. it's been one month. I don't care who wins, well naturally I'd like a win, so would pro, we both deserve not a win but more listens comments and votes. I do appreciate those who cheked us out.

Well pro you got me again it seems, thought i had ya this time!!

After a lot of coming back to relisten to these I'll go with JBL because I liked the variety of tone and his phrasing so I'll click him by a hair but from a technical standpoint these were dead even imo, could've easily gone either way really for that matter. I guess you guys are tied again :)

Attachments have had plenty of views, maybe the lack of comments are from people feeling obligated to choose between the two and vote. You guys didn't exactly make that easy here ;)

Thanx I didn't think about it like that!! I was just bummed of the lack of comments. Pro is one of my faves on this site, I just thought we had a killer battle, and your right, we do!!!!!

For playing, I've gone with Jeff. Seems to flow more naturally to me ... but it was a VERY close call.

Gotta say though, I preferred Pro's mix and backing. There were a few spots in Jeff's where the backing just overshadowed ... I'm sure that was intended to provide some dynamics, but to me, they were just a tad too sudden and 'in yer face'.

Still .. cool battle guys.
