I've been thinking about getting a keyboard controller for my setup. Not being a keyboard player, but wanting to learn. I just think with some of these programs I have(FL Studio 7,Cubase SX3)I would get a lot from a keyboard.
I have been looking at this from M-Audio http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Axiom61-main.html I'm not sure if this is right for me,but it seems to have some extra features like the drum pads, dials and such, but there are cheaper controllers out there that are just keyboards. Also i'm not sure if I sould get a 25,49 or 61 key keyboard. I know that switching thru banks is a pain in the arse and think I may just get the 61 key so I can play in different octaves without the bank switching? Anyone have any opinions or experience. Any feedback would help. Thanks

Axe, that Axiom is very good. I have a few Edirol/Roland controllers that I have been using for a while. Old stuff compared to what you can get now but they work great with Reason. Look into any fairly priced M-Audio or Roland product.

Here's an updated version that is closest to what I have:

For the money, this is hard to beat for full keys:

Hey , Thanks. I went ahead and picked up the M-Audio Axiom 61 and man I didn't know what I was missing. I'm not really a keyboard player but this thing just makes things so much easier. Triggering samples, synths and such. It's even got the drum pads built right on.
