After 40 years of seeking (my) pedal, The Marshall Jackhammer is the one for me!!! What's your favorite?


Never played through a Marshall pedal. In the past I've always had either DOD or BOSS distortion pedals with super overdrive but now all I play through is my POD.

Yeah. I have a Pod pro, but nothing beats going through a t00ber miced.lol

Well im on my V-Amp 2 99% of the time, but when im on my Amp i use the Boss DS-1, its still a classic :)

I didn't use to use my Boss pedals, before i had a V-amp 2 i had some crappy zoom unit, the pedals sounded shite into it, so stopped using them:p
These last few weeks i got them back out to try and they sound great ,they give you some more variety, so all good stuff:D

I use my vamp pro xclusively now .. but the last stomp box that 'did it' for me was an original bigfooted black metal boxed Marshall Guv'nor, paired with my JCM800 2203 M/V 50W head and Tokai analog delay pedal.

Sadly the JCM & I parted company 16 years ago to be replaced by a JCM900 1x12 combo (which also departed last year) and the Guv'nor finally died last year, shortly before I got the vamp.

Man ... those tones out of a little black box ... I would have killed for them.

That's so sad!

My original real rig:

1959 Gibson ES 330 TDC 65 Vox 15 watt tube amp. I was about 10 at the time. Circia 1969.

Next rig:

1973 Gold Top Les Paul 65 Fender Super Quad Reverb. Circia 1973.

After that:

1975 Fender Stratocaster Some crappie amp made by Acoustic. 1976


Went throught Marshalls and various guitars throughout the years..


Current rig:

All my axes are modded. Electronics, hardware or whatever.

00 Eppie Les Paul extreme.

02 Bluesville Telecaster

02 Alvarez acoustic


Various pedals. I mostly use a Boss DD-5, DS-1, Dod Flanger, Jackhammer and Cry Baby.

Amps: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and A Marshall practice amp.

Then the Pod Pro.


I mostly play my Stratocasters. I get a better cut with them. When I record a tune I'll mic my amp first using various effects and guitars. If I don't get the tone I want, I switch over to the POD.
