Hey guys and gals here's a quick tune I thru together using my new Splawn Pro Stock amp. It was all improv so it's full of clams and I haven't put a mic in front of a cab in almost 5 years so I have to play with mic placement but you'll get the idea. :thumb:

:tard: Fuck!!! (may I say that?) I think I wrote somewhere today about how I like to listen to a real amp recorded, and man, this lil example is exactly what I have in mind. Awe, what a shame I canīt play one of those on full like you awesomely demonstrated, my neighbours would kill me! Anyways, WHAT a pure and fresh sound man, congrats!

If that head and cab are mic'ed bone stock dry, you've got a killer rig!!!
Your playing is fluid and precise. Has a new sound than your previous posts (obviously), but I can hear the difference, and it's a great tone!!

I don't mic a whole lot, but it's always a good return on the time investment. Enjoy yourself Matt!!!

Sorry guys, I've been outta town. Thanks for all the cool comments. Yes, it was mic'd and recorded dry. the lead has a little delay on it done post and there is a hair of verb on the overall mix (both post). But I am stoked at the tone I'm getting, especially since I haven't used a mic for guitar in years!! :thumb:

This sounds great man. Nice tight crunch to it.
If anyone is interested, Dave Wiener (Steve Vai Band) has a few great vids about recording with an amp/mic. Shows all the different kinds of mics you can use, placement, making a micing box, etc.. with sound examples, and how you can layer them to create a killer sound. Not that you need it, but it's interesting to look at nonetheless.

that is a cool link T&G
damn that amp bleeds tone, I really dig the distortion it has, pretty hot but not brittle - if you haven't even got it mic'd perfectly yet and it sounds that good - can't wait to hear it when you really get it dialed :D

Thanks much Eric. Great compliment coming from you, your tone and playing kill. I wanted a hot-rodded older Marshall tone and to my ears this amp has it. I'm with you on the gain (which was only @ 1:00 O'clock for this clip), I was so done with the fizzy and flubby gain of alot of newer amps so I looked for modern old school.

Lovely tone SC, wish I could crank up an amp like that...amazing gain on your new amp, especcially with no distortion or overdrive/boost pedals involved. Hotrodded Marshall tone or a Mesa tone is my ideal tone. Great post, very enjoyable listen.:thumb:

Thanks for checking this out Axe. I am really happy with this amp. I've heard clips of a couple with a clean boost up front and it drives this amp into insanity!!!!
