Guwapo needs your help....

here is a thread he posted at Talkedabout:

I have done probably 100 transactions on Ebay both buying and selling.

Until recently I have done this without incident and found it a great place

to find bargains and to sell stuff myself.

Last November I purchased a watch from timepiece_direct for about

$250.00. There was some confusion with the address and I didn't receive the

watch. In the end, FedEx lost the watch. The seller assured me he would

refund my money when he received the claim from FedEx. I trusted him

and did not file a claim with Ebay.

Well it has now been 9 months and I don't have my money. The guy

or the company do not answer my emails, but they continue to do a brisk

business on Ebay. Ebay says they can't do anything because I did not file

a complaint within the required 60 days, same story from PayPal.

I feel this company should not be allowed to continue selling after stealing

from someone.

Does anyone have any ideas?

The company is in England, and I am considering persuing this through the

courts. It is a matter of principle to me. If anyone from England can provide

me with the name of a solicitor, or if anyone has any ideas about what

I/we can do about this, please let me know.

Thanks.

I was a seller for 2 1/2 years on E-bay and there are alot of bad sellers out there! Unfortunately there is nothing you can do! It seems like the seller was stringing you along so you would not leave him negative feedback! You have 90 days to leave feedback! Heres a link where you can leave Feedback after the 90 days! http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?LeaveFeedbackShow&nflw=2 Let him have it...lol

Ok, I think I have an address! When you look at the sellers(timepiece_direct) contact email in the auction listing....sales@europa-timepieces.com you put that in google and it takes you to another seller.....http://members.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=europa_timepieces They seem to be the same people and there is an address on that page! Why would both sellers have the same contact e-mail address? Here is there Phone Number.. 0870 2351376

Address:
Hewett International Ltd
Unit 1A
Victoria Way
Exmouth
EX8 1EW

Hope this helps you out!

I had that happen to me G. I almost lost 300.00 on a Hermes necklace. I was strung along just like you except I did leave negative feedback but never filed a claim. Luckily for me my Visa card reimbursed me. If you use a credit card on your paypal your credit card company may be able to help you out.

So, I left these people nasty (but truthful) feedback, they turn around and

reply to the feedback (this can be seen by everyone) that I am a

non paying bidder, and that I have been reported to Ebay.

Well, neither is true. So I report this to Ebay.

Ebay says there is nothing they can do, so it appears that stealing

from, and slandering other Ebay members is perfectly okay with Ebay.

I can't let this go!!

And thanks for all of the help. It was good (and bad) to see I am not

the only one these people have tried to rip off. Ebay doesn't give a shit

about that either.

Sorry to read this man, I hope the whole issue gets fixed. Reading things like this make even more aware of never grabbing any stuff through the net. I simply prefer the traditional way, good old post.

Ebay is only as good as your research , if possible contact whoever your buying off before you commit any loot . This whole affair sucks , fortunately i have had only good experiences with Ebay , but i do know its infected with Scum bags who are ready to pounce !!!!!!!!! .
I hope this guy rots in hell :maddance:
