Please take a minute out of your busy day to reflect on Randy Rhoads, a man who made many of us want to play guitar and make notes soar out of our instrument.

Play forever, Randy!

Why today? Is it his birthday or something?

I wish it was his birthday. Unfortunately, this would be the day he passed.

People should celebrate Birthdays instead...

this day is definitely not one of celebration, but one of reflection. if it were not for Randy Rhoads, guitar playing as we know would not be what it is. his influence in my playing is immeasurable, as i'm sure it is for most of you guys on the site. his legend will live on and will continue to be the driving force for many to play their guitar as it was meant to be played. rest in peace man. we will all miss you.:(

The night Randy died, I was playing at my high schools "Battle of the Bands". And before my band went on stage - we heard on the radio that he had died.

I was crushed - and I felt bad. Before we played our first song, I announced it to the audience and I also dedicated it to Randy - then we jammed the night away.

Randy was my favorite because of the Classical music he intertwined into heavy metal. That solo on Revelation Mother Earth is a great example.

He was a giant guitar talent - and I miss him a lot.
