Any one know where I can get some decent sf2 files for Bass and also for Guitar?? I'm looking for some for some backing tracks I'm working on that are something like what would be used to do "Enter Sandman" or similar sound.
Any help would be great. If you know of a specific site to go to that would be awesome, if you know the specific file on that site that would be awesome. Saves me wading through hundreds of files:thumb:

Hammersound.net has a lot of really decent soundfonts for free. Go to "Sounds" and the "Soundfont Library." It's worth spending the time to go through what is posted and downloading as much as you can to build up your own sound library.
Hammersound.net definitely has some old, widely used soundfonts. I also think it's worth having a look. Another cool and currently active place is www.sf2midi.com. Hammersound just serves as an archive of older fonts, but both sites are worth checking out.

Thanks for posting a new link. Good to keep the sound palette well-stocked with anything new that comes along.
