Fills? You want fills between chrods - or during chord progressions?

I guess it doesn't really matter - you can do any number of fills. Even just 2 or 3 note effect type runs. If I'm gonna fill a chord progression, I will usually make is sound a bit different than the sound of the chords - that way they stand out.

Make sure the notes work well with the chord progression.

It doesn't have to be fancy, just make it sound good.

Depends on the song - and the mood of the song.
