Hi guys
been a while since I've posted in this thread
This is a track based round the concept of a leaf falling from a tree, the leaf representing a life that can be blown in any direction as it falls to the ground.
The ride cymbal indicates time ticking by.
The Acoustic picking indicates a life, or heart ticking away.
In short its about a path through life.

Didnt see this before...I like the way this builds.
The harmonised leads works really well. The drums sound great (as I'd expect them to with you Bully), really powerful. And that screaming guitar has tone to die for.
Nice depth to the song with quiet parts and heavy parts then other ballad type parts, keeps the whole thing very interesting. Particularly like the phrasing from 2:32 - 3:02....and What a solo!!
Put some vox on it, mate! Make it a rock anthem!!

Nice idea , i love your description of the track , and how true those words are . Guitars are also splendid , and ooze feeling , with notes that have ups and downs and light and shade , it all works dude , it all works .:o

Bleedin 'ell, that was phenomenal!! I feel like I have just been taken on a musical journey. Im listening on headphones and the sound was all around, carrying me away hanging on every note. How long did it take to put that together? Fantastic job!! Have I mentioned that I thought it was rather good?

Kudos to you for having a real idea for a track. And further kudos for pulling it off in such a well crafted manner. Lovely tones, pleasant harmonies, good mixing. Worthy of more than the current number of comments that's for sure. Doesn't sound as finished to me as it could do, if I can find one fault with it. Sounds like something with massive potential that could be taken even further than you have already taken it. Superb stuff Steve mate.

Well thats my tracks all over m8 lol, not finished lol :thumb:
there ideas shelved, this one was done in Riff works the line 6 software package.
basically used for putting ideas together, the drums sound ok but are basic and don't really do justice to the track regarding feel, but supplys a reasonable beat.
I will go back to all these tracks at some point, I've had an idea were the melody is played by a keyboard and the guitar accents over, I have a few version of this track lol :)
Sometimes these type of tracks spark off new tracks entirely.
Not to mention the fun doing them.
cheers for the comment & listen m8
