Kai, we all know you can solo to hell and back man. But why not construct some meaty riffs instead of the thrashy chord stuff ?. And how about throwing in some thick keyboard sounds to really create an epic vibe ?. Not taking a swipe here cause you are my pal and you know I think you rock.
But you are such a gifted guitarist and I think putting a bit more focus on constructing some monster riffs to go hand in hand with the ripping solos would be a cool place to go. Anyone can play powerchords or barre chords over and over (although not everyone can solo over them the way you do)... just a thought.
I have heard a few of your finished tunes and you guys are really great, so feel free to throw away this suggestion if you fancy , but I think a little bit more Symphony X style epicness in your writing and playing could work really well considering how good you and your band are. Although I know that's not really your style... so hey, just do what the hell you like and ignore me man HAHA!... anyway, i'll talk to you later bro :dunno: :boobies:

Hello, all New here to guitarblast and I just thought I would put in my two cents in.
The solo is killer, very well played and executed. HOWEVER (you knew there was one!), it can be played over almost any riff. IMHO, it does not match well with the vibe and strumming structure of the underlying rhythm riff. It would be devasting if the solo and the riff complemented each other, that would be sick! It's still a very good solo! I wish I could play that well.
