Well disregard that I make those....anyone uses pedals in their setups??
I have anything from wild custom ones to normal Boss and Ibanez pedals!

I have 3 pedals... an old 60's Vox Wah, a 70's Systech phase shifter and a Dallas Rangemaster clone made by a guy named Don Butler. In the past I've had a Vox Tonebender, a Fuzzrite made by Mosrite and an LPB-1 by Electro-Harmonix(not really a pedal...more of a plug-in).

I've got a Boss DS-1, CS-3, OC-2, a Crybaby 535Q Wah.
The Wah gets the most use, the OC-2 when i need some extra octaves, the other 2 are used with my Marshall, when im not on my V-Amp 2.

I don't have many pedals. I mostly use my old, orginal Dunlop Crybaby Wah and my Ibanez Tube Screamer when using my tube amp. If I am recording, I mainly use either the modeling in the MRS-8 or the PodXT. I do not use any of my pedals with the modelers since I used the digital modelers inherent to the interface(s).

preferrably i'd like to just have a nice marshall tube amp and then a powerful overdrive pedal and maybe a reverb pedal and noise reduction pedal and then a strat to finish it off... nice and simple... to get that raw powerful strat tone that Yngwie has had since he started.
What i actually have pedal wise is a Digitech RP100, BOSS SD1 and Jim Dunlop Cry Baby Wah. it certainly gets the job done and i can squeeze a decent tone out of it.
But yeah... pedals can certainly help us all in many ways indeed.

I do have a few. An old Boss OD-1, and although not really a pedal, an old early 70's Maestro Echoplex. (I have an old Cry Baby Wah, and a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal and an old DOD Compressor, but I really never use them). The OD-1and the Echoplex are the best things I have ever owned. Love em!! :thumb:

Oh yeah, I forgot!!!! I have an old Maestro Echoplex also!!! It' just been sitting in the closet for over 20 years...I forgot I had it!!
I'm not getting the most of my pedals as I tend to work mostly with a Johnson J-Station and Boss GT-3. I've got a Proco Rat (I think it's the vintage reissue) and a Whizzer mod of an Arion Tubulator that are both great distortion pedals. Not so good is a Boss Xtortion: lots o' knobs, but can't get a satisfying tone out of it. I also have a Dunlop Crybaby wah and a Peavey digital delay pedal from the 80s.

I've got a Boss Ds-1 and an old Dunlop Wah and a Ibanez ts7 tubescreamer. I mostly just use the Boss though.
Lol an Echoplex gone for 20 years;)
I just modded my DS-1 with germanium diodes, and changed a few caps for some better ones!
Gave my OD-3 new caps as well, made them both alot more nice, both are good pedals ontheir own as well.

The POD (with floorboard) has pretty much taken over for pedals for me. I do still have an old vox wah, Ibanez Tubescreamer and DOD Chorus pedal though.

I've got a book somewhere that has instructions to build your own pedals,
One of these days I will get some time to try it.
Anyone build their own?:chucks:
I hate to admit it, but sadly at the moment i have a Zoom 505II. :o
The distortions and overdrives on it aren't the best. It does do a nice acoustic, chorus and echo though.
Years ago i had all the japenese made Boss pedals, but silly me sold them -duh!!
Tommorrow i'm going to a muisc store to check out some hand made boutique pedals by MI Audio, a Crunchbox and Tube Zone.

erm yes I have a few pedals:
Currently on my board are -
Digitech Bad Monkey (TS clone, great for its cheap price)
Boss Super Chorus
Rat 2
Line6 Delay Modeller
Cusack Screamer
Cusack ScreamerFuzz
NS2 Noise Supressor
Jim Dunlop Crybaby
I have a few others that I don't really have room for at the moment - recently picked up an original Whammy but I'm going to have to move things around if I want to fit it on here ;)
Also on the board is an A/B switch so I can have 2 gats plugged in and switch between. And most of the pedals are in a seperate loop controlled by the looper at the front of the board - the exceptions being the 2 cusacks are in the same loop and the rat 2 is in the NS2 loop, its noisy! All powered by a Voodoo 2 PSU and it lives in a huge flight case.
I also have a Zoom GFX8 multieffects pedal thing which hasn't seen the light of day since my board was finished - the distortions sound like a can of angry wasps to my ears :)
Well since my last reply i've now added a couple of pedals. A CE-2 chorus, Ibanez DE-7 delay & echo and the MI Audio crunchbox. I'm now on the lookout for a cheapish Teese, Budda or 535Q wah pedal. :)

I use a DS-1 , Bad Horsie Wah, The Original Whammy (The year they came out) and a rotovibe. My other effects come from a Digitech Twin tube that acts as a master volume so my Mesa 20/20 power amp is full on tube tone.

Wow you guys have some great stuff!! I use a DD-5 through my FX loop with my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. My regular setup is a Boss SD-1 and a Marshall Jackhammer with a Cry Baby Wah. I also use a DOD FX75C stereo flanger and a Ibanez dd7. When all else fails, I have a POD Pro that I use.lol!!

These Days for recording I simply use a Digitech RP250 and my Boss BR600 has some nice sounds in it built from the COSM of GT6 pedalboard.
I have not messed with standalone pedals for a few years. I like these modellers a lot. I play live once a year so I do not have a need for a Pedalboard per se.
If I was playing live I probably would use stomp boxes over one of my Multi effects pedals.

when I play at home, 99% of the time its through phones so I use a Pod XT - I know where you're coming from :) If I do the blues band thing I take along my Peavey Delta Blues and a Cusack Screamer or ScreamerFuzz if I'm feeling adventurous!
If I'm doing covers its the crate head and marshall 4x12, and full pedalboard rig - purely because I know I can rock out, and basically thats the enjoyment I get from being in the band - with a thumping 4x12, a stage full of pedalboard and great tones in my head, thats all that matters, using the full rig I'm happy and the songs go down well with the audience because I'm playing good. I blew a fuse on one gig - stupidly adding an extra speaker, what impedence??? - and ended up using my Pod for the entire gig - no-one enjoyed it, least of all me. Though the punters danced on.... you could have a drummer kicking a soggy cardboard box, they wouldn't notice! Thats the pub circuit for you!

for home, i use a Korg AX1500G that has decent cab emulators, coupled with a hotrod modded Boss DS-1.
live/work, pedal board with a true-bypass A/B junction box to separate my rock tones from metal.
current chain = RMC wizard wah - junction A/B box.
Loop A rock - Boss OC-2 - AMT Fatal Tube Overdrive - MXR Microamp to junction.
Loop B metal - AMT Rammstein Distortion - mid 80's TS-808 (set to solo boost) to junction.
junction out to a Carl Martin Red Repeat (analog echo/delay)
P'S that Red repeat is actually digital...

thanks for the heads up, Rid. Its voiced after analog echo/delay but sure makes Boss DD series thinnie. i prefer the RR over my former H2O (visual sound), which had its moments too :D
Hehew yeah, it is made like an analouge delay, the pathway is all analouge, the only digital part is the delaychip, it only generates the delay feedback, and that one is filtered for a more sweet tone.

I've added a couple of pedals since my last post on this subject. My current setup is pictured below.
