well this rocks!!! great sounds and superb mix on the vocals - nice and dry and mixed up front. Sounding better than ever linda.
Art - your slide playing is criminally underused. You have a real clarity and feel for it. brilliant
The best mix you have posted in ages - really crisp!
5 stars nomination as bloody usual!!!

This was really enjoyable the both of you, you do make a great team , it shows on your covers to , i think sometimes we all fall in that trap of trying to get every thing close as possible, when sometimes its just best to let it out and just have as much fun as poss, most of the time it turns out much better for it anyway on alot of tracks, anyway lovely track , 5 stars:rock:

Cool! This is actually one of the first tunes I learned to play. Always loved playing blues solos over this chord progression.
Really dig the song, and you gave it a very cool update! Really nice production as usual, and great slide playing there! And those vocals sounded really great Linda! Way to go! :thumb:

Yes , actually it took around 1 hour to do the backing . I found a decent midi file , which is great when you can find em , but the drums needed attention , and the bass , but i forgot about the tempo :headscratch:
2 hours later when the booze had run out , we were ready for moulding .
Thanks people for replying :thumb:

LOL! Another one for the beach cd for tomorrow! (Nevermind, I just thought about it on SC´s tune a few min ago). As a WWII freakie, I´d sware to whatever that piston engine was a mighty Rolls Royce Merlin, the one fitted on early Spitfires, jeeze I love that sound, :woot:. Backing track and playing was just perfect, but that´s not new BP, damn, it sounded good. But what I really liked was to listen to Linda´s take, it was much cleaner than on other tunes ya couple have done, sounded very natural on this one, and very very way cool I must say! :) 5 ´vers here all the way!

Really enjoyed this one, imo the best to date from you two, i have the night off and it was a nice fun song to let my hair down too.
I must agree with Tony about the vocals, they sound lovely, and far clearer in the mix too, which i think works alot better, and as always love backing and guitars.

After hearing the tune on Radio today , we decided to buy alcahol , plug in the mic and have go at it .Ok, well first of all, I love your gameplan for putting together this tune!
Man, this is a masterpiece! Love everything about it. A keeper, for sure! Wow! Sounds absolutely gorgeous and I agree, you could give Bonnie Rait the chills with that slide guitar. I love the crispy strums on that acoustic guitar. So subtle but rhythmically effective. And the amount of crunch in the electric guitar is perfect for this tune (kinda takes it up a notch from the original). And the lead is above top shelf quality. I like the very subtle violin/string/synth line that runs through the background. So good and pro-sounding. Linda, your vocals literally get better and better with each project. Very smooth, and dare I say “sexy!” And your vocal harmonies arelush and right on the money. You two are stars, to say the least!
One question though: Is that Granny Clampett sampled in the end of the song??? :headscratch: I think I also heard Jethro in the middle there too :toothless:
Easy 5 stars and a Nom!
