I recorded a cover of Wasted Years that I'm proud of but my solo isn't that great and I just can't find the right solo tone so I'm gonna mix it again minus MY solo. Anyone up for the job??:dunno:

My version has Johnny Lokke on vocals. I'm happy with everything except my solo tone which was played through a crappy low end neck pickup that sounds weak.

I'd like it as close to the original as possible but doesn't have to be exactly note for note. I just don't want it to sound like a different solo.

I also asked Tony4552 from G101 if he'd do it since he's a Maiden guru but haven't heard back from him yet.

Do you use a podxt m8?

I normally just take parts of the original solo and then make it my own for my tracks, but hey I can do it for ye quite close if thats what ye after m8.

It was recorded with guitarport. My neck pickup was bad. I liked the way I played it, I even panned it into 5 parts but the tone was impossible to dial in with that crappy pickup.

Here is the cover: I'm removing the solo tonight. If you want to try it, feel free. Later you could isolate the solo track, send it to me and let me mix it in.
