I decided to pull my old strat off the wall again for a bit of a workout. It doesnt stay in tune very well, I found out. And you'll probably hear it too :dunno:
But I actually managed to get a pretty nice sound out of it.
Check out all the crazy levers and stuff I have on it tho. I don't know where the guitar is originally form. I bought it used at a guitar store real cheap as my first guitar about ten years ago.
A whole bunch of mistakes here and there in this video, and ignore the vocal attempt please :notme:
I just thought it'd be nice to have a video with this guitar. At least it looks nice. :toothless:

I actually use a pick on the intro on this one. I put it down on my leg at about 1:02 here. Mostly because I want to play the bass notes in the solo with my thumb, and the solo with my other fingers.
Might be hard to spot the pick between my big fat fingers tho, haha :notme:
But I actually use a pick most of the time when I play electric, except for slow blues solos. With acoustic guitar I don't like the sound of a pick that much so I use my fingers.
But the reason I started to play without a pick is that I can never seem find one

Så djävla skönt alltså!

Damn, that's good Per! I wish I could play in such a laid back, yet groovy style.
Very nice sound.
Your singing ain't too shabby either. Off pitch here and there, but so was Jimi at times.

One of the most beautiful songs ever. Or as Steve Vai said in the "Live at astoria"-DVD: Jimi sure did write beautiful songs.

Great stuff mate, its always been my favourite Hendrix track (i like how Vai performs it too), and you did great here, some very nice playing throughout, and great to visually see your technique and hear it too.
