Little Acoustic number. Just recorded this for my Dad's 51st Birthday. Hope he likes it when he gets up lol. And hope you guys/gals dig it on here. Nothin flash... just me and acoustic again. Background noise can go fuck itself cause i dont give a shit :boobies: :boobies: :boobies:
Cool, very moody and introspective. A great song never goes out of style. I think your dad will dig it. Sounds very heartfelt.

When i saw the post i thought nah !! cant be right , DB doing Sounds of Silence , but hell fire it does work . Has a Nirvana vibe to it , very dark moody and threatening . You're work is always outstanding DB and i hope one day you get hold of a good Studio Mic and give these wonderful tunes of yours the clarity they deserve . Great stuff !!

Thanks guys. You know, i have weirdly grown a sort of affection towards these kind of recordings. Not only do i have nothing to hide behind... but it provides a nostalgia. Takes me back a handful of years to when i was just starting out. Used to just play acoustic and sing song. Would try and record and they would always come out kinda "cloudy".
Im not usually one to like reflecting back on the past. And i still don't like it. But its a strange somewhat comforting feeling knowing that even though i have come so far... the roots of my playing and my being as a musician are still firmly in place and will probably never leave. It's a nice feeling. Have never quite mastered recording acoustic tunes. Until i get an actual good mic i never will master it. But i keep trying anyway. Just for fun. EQ here EQ there etc etc lol.
Do have a soft spot for these kind of recordings. And im always brought to smile by the responses i often get when i post em up. Really restores your faith in the good nature of mankind...... then you turn on the news and see some twat blew himself up along with 50 innocent people just because his religion tells him its a noble and honorable thing to do.... you go figure.
