10/3/54 - 8/27/90 :(

SRV was and still is an inspiration to me. I can't listen to his music and not want to pick up the guitar. One of several artists that got me motivated to play the guitar or want to play in the first place. Don't expect to hear SRV resurrected from the dead though...no one can duplicate him, he was unique. Just a humble hommage to someone who brought many a smile on this kid's face.

RIP, Stevie...you are missed.

Very cool. I did a quick peek on ebay for posters too - I like this one:

Works for me , funny that i really only got into SRV after he got the knock on the door . I guess i took him for granted , and at one time he was on TV quite a lot , seemed to gig in Europe quite frequently and i never really sat down and listened to what he was saying . I now understand totally he was one of the finest blues-men the world had ever seen and how i wish i could of seen him live :maddance: , still like Hendrix his music lives on , as in this piece here , a fitting tribute to a great man . Awesome :yourock:

The sad part is his estate wasn't worth all that much when he died. It's really kinda sad that he didn't get much benefit of being a guitar guru.. Now all his stuff is worth a fortune.
