Well a right old battle happened in the MP3 competition this month. Four tunes in particular stood out by grabbing the lions share of all the votes. And these were (in no particular order):

Rockin In The Free World 2007 (G3/Neil Young) - Bahamut, JPF, Murph & Avalon (http://www.guitarblast.com/showthread.php/rockin-free-world-5501.html?t=5501)Now all of these did so well that they have pretty much broken records for voting and would have won in any other month so congratulations to all the above. But there can be only one winning tune and that was (cue fanfare)

First off a big thank you once again to everyone who voted for us (on both of the tracks i had a slight hand in lol), i had the pleasure of working with 3 of the best on Rockin, they gave 110% throughout and its ppl like John, Mart and Pat who make songs like this so much fun to collab on.

I can assure you that this competition is run fairly. The Admins take it very seriously and check ip addresses regularly to prevent cheating. We even restrict new members from voting until they have posted a few times (because of previous attempts at cheating.)

The competition is based on how many unique nominations are recorded for each song. The winner here was a clear winner in terms of nominations recorded. I also went through all the votes to see if anyone had tried to vote more than once, and I notice you had voted 3 times on one track (naughty boy!) Anyhow multiple votes from the same person do not get recorded, therefore your 3 nominations were reduced to one.

Give it up for Solitude, Pianoguy, Ksdb, SG Std, Rain, Danni Danzi and Shooter!!! Would not have bothered me one bit to lose to any of them. Already added those tunes to my collection! A big thanks to Jamie, Mart and John for asking me to be part of this. Jamie and Mart can play their asses off! I had thoughts of doing my parts over after hearing them! And John is just one talented S.O.B! A stellar job bro! It was just a blast start to finish. I actually saw the last concert of that G3 tour with my wife and cousin.
