Once in a while I like to browse around a site without checking in. I also like to clean my PC of cookies, (old thinking brat I guess). It´s funny I used to be able to browse around here with the cookies set off up til short, but when I´ve tried doing it lately I just can´t. Is it my own problem within my broweser or is that another hidden-fun PHP issue for numbers?

Cookies track your sessions and keep you logged on. If you turn them off the site is wondering what to do with you, I would imagine that when they are turned off that you are probably having to answer a lot of prompts.

My wife leaves hers off all the time too so every time she goes to a site she has to click the prompt a bunch of times. Don't be so paranoid, cookies actually serve a purpose and make your life easier. Like any other scripting source, it can be exploited but it's very rare. Don't make me install this smilie --> http://www.politicalgroove.com/images/smilies/hide.gif

Well, you know you can trust GuitarBlast.com, so just add it as an exception in your cookie preferences. Eric's right though, unless you surf a ton of porn and crack sites(sorry Eric:D), cookies are not a major problem.

LMAO! Johnny! Tush huh? ok, not without plenty of beers, but I have to wait for a weekend, LOL!
Well I guess your wife, Eric, enjoys privacy as much as I do. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie), as for crack, here´s my main source of drugs lately, (http://www.thearling.com/text/dmwhite/dmwhite.htm). Porn, yeah, gimme some once in a while sure, but it´s a whole lot funner to participate than to watch, :boobies: , ;) . As I said earlier (before this rised up again), no big deal. But guys, it used to be easier to browse anywhere without as many shit going on as within cookies. Yeah, I guess I´m a bit paranoid

I was chatting with my cyber friend James (Pure). He has a site for his personal buysness. He gathered this info while I just stuck my nose in his site without even registring. I asked him permission for posting this, so here it goes. Gotta love web privacy.............

Very common, I have all of that and then some for every user that visits this site as well, most websites have that capability and use the information for tracking stats.
The best thing you can do is to make sure you have a good firewall and antivirus. But when you visit websites as a rule all of that information is captured.

I know itīs common, and that thatīs what you get when you visit websites, but I just found it amusing,...oh well, not a big deal for a free service, as long as these trackers donīt reach up to my HD, ;). Just hoping tracking software doesnīt develop much more than that.
