This from FoxNews (a very right wing news agency but still) http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,291398,00.html

I would really like to see Brown take a stance here and tell Bush to get fucked. This is a good opportunity for Brown to start off his leadership in the right direction.

The worst possible thing he can do is to side with Bush on anything, distancing himself would not only win the British people over it would also gain him plenty of respect from the American people as well. At this time Bush's approval rating is rivaling that of Nixon, the worst rated president in the history of polling. He is a lying, corrupt piece of shit with a party that stands by him, which will ultimately be their downfall when this presidency is over and none of them are re-elected.

Do the right thing, Brown. Nobody will fault you for it.

Im pretty sure I recall Brown saying numerous times that he wouldn't want to continue the current pally pally role we seem to have. The British don't like being the little bitch of America. We're bigger than that and I/we had hoped Brown was too. Recent comments from the man himself are slightly (only slightly mind you) worrying... but time will tell. Brown does seem genuinely more concerned about this country and sorting it out than he is about keeping up special relations with America and Bush.

One of the things Brown is doing that I like is starting to really try and involve the public. He has reintroduced that most bizarre of notions... the government work for the people. Strange eh ?... long lost forgotten ideal. But im glad as hell it's made it's way back. If he goes through with some of the stuff he's talking about i'll be very pleased indeed. The idea of forums (online and off) where your average chap or lass can comment and have some real input is a great place to start.

Mind you... everyone who wants to be liked says all the right things at all the right times. I fully expect very little to change. Mind you... even if just a few things change for the better... it'll be a start.

As for this special relation, im with you Eric. I hope Brown keeps a safe political distance from Bush. It's all very well meeting and maintaing the "alliance" but just make sure you pursue the alliance more so with a better President please Gordon... cause the current one is a fucking twat.

Well politicians works one way imo, tell the public what they want to hear when the time is right and then behind the scenes do wtf they want
I saw on the news abit ago, Brown looks as comfortable being round Bush as i would round cowpat lol, i don't know though, seriously i think it really makes little diffrence , Blair, Brown, or any other politician, same shit diffrent package :toothless:

Well i watched the shoot out tonight on tv , and it looked a little embarassing . In one corner we had *go get em george !*, full of wise cracks and clever little innuendos , and i must admit , humorous and good with it , and ...........

in the other corner we had Gordon , who came across like one of those spotty faced , * sit at the back of the classroom * type geeks . To be honest Brown wants us out of Iraq , even if the Iraqi army is left equipped with pea-shooters , he wants us out , probably because he wants the money for other jobs , like the chew on in Afghanistan . a war which cannot be won .

Must admit Bush ran rings around Gordon , i sincerely hope Gordon sorts his head out , and gets a grip .:maddance:

Wise and Clever ?... two words I never imagined I would see used in the same sentence as the name George Bush. Brown has ten times the intellect of Bush... perhaps he was just treading carefully since it was his first time as PM in the US. Don't you think ?...

If Brown really wanted to give more "Power to the people" he would allow a referendum on Europe, which his party did, after all, promise years ago, but failed to deliver on as seems to be usual with all politicians, and this Labour party in particular. |I see him as an unelected non-entity, and as yet he has done little or nothing to change my mind.

What worries me about Brown is that he always uses the phrases Prudence , and he is Scottish , put the two together and your getting into Fagin territory .

I cannot see him spending a great deal on anything , but i can see him gathering more in taxes , like the millions he is going to rake in from building contractors repairing flooded homes .

About Bush and Brown , its my opinion only , but i believe both leaders are manipulated by Israel anyway . whatever they want , they will eventually get .
