I've been watching Season Three of The Office non-stop for the last three days and I can't help myself. Someone please stop me before I watch again.

I could never watch the UK version because it was done so damn well it just reminded me of my day to day work, which I don't enjoy.
I didn't find it funny, just annoying because the characters were so spot on, they really do exist in real life.
Maybe the US version would be easier for me to watch, I dunno ?
:dunno:

But that is exactly why it is funny!
I guess the us version is a bit more "whacky/crazy" kind of humour. Either way, I think they both are just brilliant!

But that's why I couldn't find it funny. I understand it, and it is very well done, and if I didn't work in an office environment, then I probably would find it funny.
I just don't wanna watch anything that reminds me of my normal 9 til 5 grind.

No shit, man! I don't want to be reminded how ridiculous my life is. I might pull out the 7.7 Jap and test how effective it is at scrambling my brains.

I think both versions are OUTSTANDING. I know Mondy's not a big fan of Ricky Gervais. (Was it because he got to feeling a bit too self-important Dave?) When I first got the UK version I watched it non-stop for about a month. The American version has been just as captivating. Plus, you have to love the fact that Dwight pumps himself up by listening to Wild Side by Motley Crue and doing karate kicks.

Yeah, he got a bit up his own ass after the success of The Office, and I could never really stand him after that. But then again, he was funny when he had to ad-lib whilst waiting for Elton John to come on stage at the Diana concert.
I do have to agree with slicer though. Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy blow The Office out of the water !

I loved The Office (UK) so much I have actually avoided watching the US version for fear of spoiling it for me. But lots of mates say I should check it out. Maybe it's time...I love Steve Carell's stuff in Anchorman and 40 yr old Virgin.
If you like awkward humour then I thoroughly reccommend "Human Remains" or "Nighty Night"
