Umm, thats a tough one, especially coming from one who gets too attracted to different skirts every other day, :boobies:. Of course it depends on your definition of abuse, it can be fun, :D

Hey, just cuz us married guys are on a diet, doesn't mean we don't look at the menu !

Positive. Tits are out there, and it would be rude of me not to look. Makes me appreciate the ones I married so much more if I spend lots of time observing the other shapes and sizes on offer out there...

Yeah, except I'm not supposed to be up this early....well, now I am, but not when the dogs started barking. Dog owners are the most obnoxious people there are.

I got up this morning and talked to one of them. She started on about why the dog is barking. "Oh, I let him out and he's probably barking at my son who just left."

Yeah, I don't give a fuck. I only care that it's sitting there barking under my bedroom window. I don't care why...although why you're not stopping it is a curiosity I just figure you're really fucking rude.

So I made some french toast out of the bread I made last night. "Earth bread" with barley, sunflour seeds, bran, granola with hemp...yummy. If the hemp was "real" HEMP I might not be so mad still...

Do you know the dog bi-laws in your area? Around here owners get a $300 fine for that! If if happends again I would do something about it. I know I would be pissed if my neighbours let their dog bark early in the morning:mad:

Mabye you should put some real Hemp in the bread and feed it to the dog...lol He would chill out then!

Nothing to do to save his life call his wife in
Nothing to say but what a day how's your boy been
Nothing to do it's up to you
I've got nothing to say but it's O.K.
Good morning, good morning...
Going to work don't want to go feeling low down
Heading for home you start to roam then you're in town
Everybody knows there's nothing doing
Everything is closed it's like a ruin
Everyone you see is half asleep.
And you're on your own you're in the street
After a while you start to smile now you feel cool.
Then you decide to take a walk by the old school.
Nothing has changed it's still the same
I've got nothing to say but it's O.K.
Good morning, good morning...
People running round it's five o'clock.
Everywhere in town is getting dark.
Everyone you see is full of life.
It's time for tea and meet the wife.
Somebody needs to know the time, glad that I'm here.
Watching the skirts you start to flirt now you're in gear.
Go to a show you hope she goes.
I've got nothing to say but it's O.K.
Good morning, good morning...

Wahey, I am now the proud grower of 3, yes that's, three, peppers !!!

One is nearly an inch long, the others are a little more stunted than that.

But the other flowers are showing signs of more peppers coming.

Can't believe I grew this bloody plant from a pepper seed ! I mean, I know a pepper seed would grow into a pepper plant, but I thought that I would have killed it long before it got to this sort of maturity !

Mental !

My pepers are doing ok. I think they should start flowering soon. I have 3, maybe 4 Ginko sprouts coming up. My basil all died and I'm having a hell of a time keeping the pepers alive. Some sort of fucked up disease is eating them. I'm never buying from that store again.

I missed that you were growing peppers. How long have they been going for ?

Do you water from the top, or the bottom ?

My Father-in-law told me never to water from the top because they get a disease that kills them, always water from the bottom into the little tray that the pot sits into. Never directly into the top into the top of the soil.

This is what I have been doing and touch wood, nothing has gone wrong so far !

Top. They are outside. The basil came in with disease I think. It spread to other plants like the peppers. The stuff that wasn't near it is doing ok.

hehehe...they haven't even called any of my references afaik. I might just quit this office shit, with all the stupid politicing and back biting (which I don't understand enough to be prepared for), and just do farming. It's becoming a new fad to "buy local"...farmers are making out like bandits. It's much nicer to work outside, in the dirt, than it is in some stuffy office with a bunch of people you don't understand.

Follow your instincts and do what you feel is right, you wont regret it.

It's been a little over a year and a half.

The main problem is that I expect people to talk to me. When someone needs my help I pretty much expect that they will ask for it. Apparently that isn't how things are done here... Frankly, I can't get a straight answer. I get told I need to be more helpful and when I ask, "When haven't I been?" They can't think of any time...and they don't seem to think this is an issue. I just plain don't understand it.

I also rather expect that people talk to you when they have a problem with how you do things instead of complaining to the boss and acting like everything is cool to your face. I just hate that crap and maybe that's my problem.

I don't know...we talked about it and things are easier today...so far. It does no good to bitch and moan. I'm just going to let it go and do my best. I have a backup plan. If things don't get any better I'll think about implementing it. Farming sounds like a really great idea and maybe I can sell some of my bread (it's getting better every time)...never know...

Must be pretty smart. When I was two I just stole my mom's beer.

Actually, I was able to take the crib, or whatever that cage thing is, apart in 30 seconds and get out before I could talk. That's when they were made of wood, not the fold-out ones with the screens.

it is a standard 4 yr with the usual 3 -3.5% wage increase. everything looks good as we got everything we wanted except that they did nothing to the retirement, screwing new employees with very limited benefits and no retirement except for a 401k and they are changing our health befefits. we expected an increase in out of pocket, higher cost and less coverage (which we got) but for the first 3 years we pay a fixed monthly amount like we do now, then year 4 we pay 20% of the cost. don't like the % thing but they won't take it out. they wanted the % thing for the whole contract and we bargained for 3 years fixed. i think it will get voted in and i hope the 20% thing doesn't haunt us in the future contracts.

Sounds like the "standard deal" that I'm seeing all over the place.

Although, I did just do a 3 year deal for 5% in each year. Home Run there! :woot:

I'm getting wages similar to what you're getting...no bumps for Retirees...lesser benefit packages for new or younger workers and an 80% / 20% split on Health Insurance costs. There's also a HUGE push towards mandatory generic prescription drugs....which actually benefit both sides so....

Employers like the % on Health Insurance....once they get you to agree to it...you're paying for ever. When the premiums go up...they pay and you pay.

Hopefully, come 2008, we'll get a President that will implement a National Health Care plan, and we can ram it in the Employers collective kiester!!

I'm starving! Just ordered pizza & wings!!:woot:

Well just got done eating my $30 pizza. I was soooo pissed! It took an hour to deliver it and was cold. To top it off I was charged $5 to deliver it! Well I don't think so! I called an complained. I get another pizza & wings for free! They should have known better not to mess with Janelle! :thumb:

they had no idea who they were messing with did they. when you get the free stuff make sure you look it over closely. ever since i saw the movie "road trip" and i saw what the overweight cook did with the guys powdered toast that he sent back i will never send anything back to the kitchen.

Yes...lol I saw "road trip"! I will be going in myself and ordering it! I can see them make my pizza so I'm not worried. I never send anything back in a restaurant becuase I don't trust them. I just don't leave a tip!

Heh, I make a killer chocolate cake. A gingerbread cake. I also made some pretty damn good ginger cookies once also. I should make those again. Definitely going to try brownies again, last was a mostly failure (only saved by the mint frosting I put on them). I'm also pretty good with pies.

You know...maybe I'll make that chocolate cream pie if the whip topping is still good. I think I have the graham crackers for the crust...somewhere...

Yeah I know. It's where I am from. I was born in Blackburn and lived there for 22 years. Used to go camping up the Lakes loads of times and there were always family trips to the Dales and rambles with Church members.

I used to love going to Brabham Rocks and climbing and running around.

Used to always go cycling down the canal towards Manchester way and see how far I could get before having to turn back. Also cycled Blackburn to Blackpool one day to see my brother, always cycling to Mellor, Accrington, Darwen, Tockholes, etc., etc., etc.

Just feel at home up there. Countryside everywhere.

Ah, there's nowt better than camping up in The Lakes, getting up early for a swim in the freezing cold lake whilst it is pissing it down with rain, then trudging back to the tent to make breakfast.

Hoping that you manage to select the beans and sausages tins after finding your older brother thought it might be funny to rip off all the labels before you left.

End up cooking peaches and chilli for breakfast in the pissing rain, then off to Selafield Powerstation in the pissing rain because it's the only place decent to go in the rain.

Then hire a rowing boat and row round Keswick water in the pissing rain and get back home and bog off down the pub to get pissed on fine ales by a roaring fire whilst it is still pissing it down outside.

Ah, happy mamoeries !

Well, the race was fun. I thought I was killing when I passed 5 people on the track. It was timed so we each fired out of the gate one at a time every 2 minutes. First place beat me by about 3 minutes. Third place only beat me by a few seconds I think.

Track was slick snotty goo and I crashed multiple times. Once I got caught up in the grooves of everyone else crashing and got sent straight into a stump. Went for a short flight, ran back to my bike and started again...but it slowed me down.

I think if I train harder I can place. The next ride is going to be a whole lot more rigorous in both technical prowess and endurance but I think I can still pull it off. I've bitten it pretty hard on this trail before. Maybe get a few well placed pieces of armor to trick my brain into thinking I'm safe.

I've yet to be seriously damaged by any of this but I'm still to chicken to go all out. I don't WANT to be damaged...I just love the hell out of this sport.

You can only see me in small pieces if you watch the video. Check it: http://www.capitolforest.com/blisscruise2007.html

Hehehe...Just hit everything with a hose and then toss it in the washer by itself. It was pretty bad.

The really cool thing is that Capitol Forest mud has this distinct red tint in it. It looks more like shit than any other mud I've ever seen so when it's sprayed all over your backside it definitely looks bad.

Bummer man, I didn't catch your original post on this. Them taking you to lunch is definitely a first I have seen in that situation too, should be interesting to hear what they have to say.

I recently left my job and made the move to Intel, it's the happiest I've been at work in years.

Yep, that's the stuff. I got poo stains all over everything I ever wear in those woods.

On a happier note, I was up there this evening and had my wallet and leather jacket stolen. Fun times :p

That sucks!!! Make sure you report any credit or bank cards stolen!

I recently left my job and made the move to Intel, it's the happiest I've been at work in years.

Really?

I visited Intel once, put on a presentation of one of my programs for a job and career fair they held. I felt like I was in a police state...prison maybe. I couldn't use the bathroom without escort and there was no way for me to get into any area where anything might have come into view, much less been able to walk out with it.

I do know a guy that works there in the computer security department. His name is Johnathan. He was promoted to black belt when I was getting my second bar.

I tried google but didn't do well on the phone interview. The technical part got me because it was all theoretical and the one question I should have been able to answer I screwed up and subtracted a bit when I should have added one. At VeriSign though they asked me all sorts of questions that allowed me to show off just how much I actually know. I thought I did pretty well....maybe too well for the position they wanted to fill :p

Yeah, everything has been turned off. I'm officially cash only for a while. So far it looks like they never used them. I think they just saw the oportunity to take a coat and did it. They were stuck in the woods with a long walk ahead of them. It wasn't getting any lighter or warmer.

I would steal a coat for my GF if I had put her in that position. The guy didn't exactly seem very chivalrous, actually more like a total dickhead, but whatever.

Gonna miss the coat.

Didn't know them but have a pretty good idea who it was. Not their name, but who among the people up there did it. There were these people yelling at each other up above. They had driven their pos truck up in there and gotten stuck. I would have helped someone if they asked but these people I wanted nothing to do with...the kind that you'd be looking over your shoulder the entire time hoping you didn't have to suddenly defend your life.

Nothing major happened, and they didn't trash my truck, so perception was probably mistaken ... but they were acting the part.

Well, they used to have a huge problem with theft of intellectual property so their security is high. You have to get completely scanned on the way in and out of the building but they've really stream lined it. Working here is way mellow though and I haven't run into any issues at all but I can see coming from the outside where they are tight on things. By far cooler than any IT job I've had yet.

Well, the deal is that I might have gotten the job if word from above hadn't changed the details of the position so that an existing employee, who was interested, could fill the position. He wanted to keep me happy so I'd check back for another oportunity if one comes up because he wants me on the team...but things are what they are.

Motley Crue was cool - their first album especially. At the time I was into Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, SOD, MOD, DRI, Suicidal Tendencies, Iron Maiden (didn't dig them as much at the time though) some of the local bands but that may have been more early 90's. I kind of include up to 94 as part of the 80's as far as heavy metal.

Now though...Diamondhead, Blitzkrieg, all those listed above minus Metallica (got sick of those guys though Kill them all is still worth listening too...Ride the lightning too maybe)...some of the more mainstream stuff like Van Halen, Def Lepard (high and dry & pyromania), Billy Idol, The Police, Eurythmics :p, who did the roundround song?, uh...

Shit, what wasn't good? Tiffany I guess.
