One of the best things about GBlast Groups is that members have the ability to suggest new groups to the Administrators. A group may be related to any topic you like, it doesn't necessarily have to be about music. All you need is participating members.

1. Start one discussion thread in the forum of your choice to tell people about your idea for a GBlast Group.

2. In that thread, you must get responses from at least five GBlast members who agree to be active participants in the suggested GBlast Group.

3. When enough members have signed on to join the group and have agreed on a proposed group idea, one member must officially suggest the GBlast Group to a GBlast Administrator by sending dropping one of us a PM. Please be sure to include a link to the thread where members have discussed the proposed Group.

4. The Administrators will consider the request and make a decision. The Administrators will either 1) Accept the Group as it is proposed, 2) Deny the Group outright, or 3) Ask for changes to the Group which would be necessary for its approval.

5. Once the suggested Group has been accepted by the Administrators, the Administrators will create a new GBlast Group in the "GBlast Groups" Category forum, and sticky the mission statement of that Group to the top of that Group's forum.

If you have any questions, you may reply to this thread.

This sounds interesting but let me clarify...

as an example, what if I posted like a "Film Buff Group" ?. is the idea to then get people onboard with the idea, then to open up some sort of something ?... and all chat about movies etc ?. Just as an example...

Yes, once you have five other members agree to participate with you it can be about anything, even if it's not related this site's topic. Once the members agree to whatever the topic will be, we will then create a new forum (group) in this section for that topic.

Sounds like fun, i'll give it a go to get the ball rolling and see what happens. Forum of your choice... that mean somewhere other than this one ?...

We will add them as subforums to the forum that we are currently in "GBlast Groups" so they will all be under that header.

Tell you what, just to show others exactly how to do it. Why don't you start the movie nut one ?. Cause I hate being the first one, I always do it wrong...

How about starting a thread on it in the open chat forum? You are on the right track and I will second you then we'll both be the first. :thumb:

Hello
Just a suggestion right now there is only one place to post video's .

And with the amount of fun video's out there that are related to guitars and music. There should be a place to show youtube style or my place type video's .
evrything from fun commercials to guitar and amp related NAMM show new products.

I really think it could be a hit and would not cause too much restructuring.
Please give it a thought.....it might even broden the membership rate.:)

P.S my job for the last 27 years has been in sales. This idea could greatly benefit this site.
