But there is just such intense playing all over this record.

Whichever tune you choose as your favourite, one thing can't be disputed. This is an album by a guy who sounds very, very happy.

I usually get so much humour coming through in Gilbert's playing, but even more so on this album. Like I say, the playing just seems to be full of this happy, exuberent energy. It's quite addictive just listening to it.

Certainly not shred without any feeling, that's for sure !
