View Full Version : Ambrosia revisited - Geordie on vocals
Had this song posted a while back with Kenny (eamon7) on vocals. Due to impatience on my part, I had given up on an earlier request to Geordie to try the song, but like a trooper, the G-man persevered and came through with a splendid performance of his own. Geordie always triumphs on those hard rock songs, but this one shows that he has the ability to carry an r&b type of ballad too. I sprinkled a little guitar on this, but I had perhaps as much fun playing the bass line. So here's the alternative version of Holding on to Yesterday by Ambrosia.

i'm sorry i am not familiar with this song. lol. so thats how its supposed to sound. how about next time geordie does the lead and i do the harmony? to me this just shows that geordie is a singer and i am a guitarist that sings. this is a good thing. i would love to stand behind geordie (so i can stare at his ass ) and play guitar and sing backup. geordie you did a fantastic job on this and joe i told you before what a great piece of work you did on this.:thumb:
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...I love it guys!:yourock:

You have an awesome sense of humor and make some really funny comments. I thought about putting a hybrid mix together mixing your two versions. You have a lot of talent and really helped me out when I thought this song wasn't going to get finished and I thought you did an excellent job in your vocal interpretation too. It would be fun to get together live with all you guys and see what kind of musical mayhem would result.

Never heard this before but it sounds great.............
Geordie's vocal is of the exceptionally high standard that he has set himself and the guitar solo is exquisite, lovely playing and tone ksdb!!
Dont know if you copped the solo off the original or played your own but it was spot on, fits perfect with the track, love the octave run that you did in there.
Excellent job chaps!!!
