I really liked the first one, it wasn't anything near as revolutionary as Predator or Alien & Aliens. But how could it ever have been ?. I did like it though, it was great fun. This one looks great fun too... you guys seen the trailer for it ?... if not... here you go...

I didnt like the first movie much at all. I thought it was too little predator vs alien action!
Just one short little fight scene in the end, if I remember correctly, and just as I thought the film was gonna get going it all ended instead. :confused:

No doubt those aliens are damn cool tho, and predators arent that bad either. I recently got Alien and Aliens on dvd. Haven't seen either in a long time, gotta watch them soon!

The first two Alien films were great, the first Predator film was half decent (It's just a shame Arnie the plank was in it) Aliens V Predator was an absolute travesty can't see this being any different. IMO it just looks like more typical hollywood OTT drivel.
Preferably I would like to see a realistic remake of The Battle Of Britain, where Spitfires don't shoot down every 109 they come across.

Really surprised at a sequel here myself. The first one wasn't warranted either.

Kinda goes without saying, but to derive joy from the first AVP you kinda have to go in without such high expectations. The budget was really rather modest and given what they had to work with I thought they did well.

Obviously it doesn't even compare to the first Predator or to he first two Alien movies. But how could it ?. Cheesy fun is the whole point here really, pretty much is a money grabbing scheme from Hollywood again. But for 1 and a half hours of amusingly cliched and cheesy fun im not really complaining.

And besides, this film has the crossbreed PredAlien in it. Born out of the Predator from the end of AVP1. Check him out...
