View Full Version : DB, Sadge & Bluesplayer - Through The Artists Eyes

Danny - General Track Arrangement, Rhythm & Lead Guitars, Keyboards.
Tony (Sadge) - Arrangement of Bass, Mix work.
Art (Bluesplayer) - Arrangement of Drums.
This is something of a repost, let me explain as briefly as possible. Originally I did this with Art, I wrote and arranged it and he laid down drums, bass, keys and mixed it (with a a couple executive decisions lol).
To bring it up to date with the other tracks me and Sadge have done and are doing, I brought Sadge in to remix it. He redid bass, brought back my keys in place of Art's, moved main lead guitar forward just right to line it up and then went about remixing to our liking.
Im reposting it cause I think it's been buffed up to what I imagined when I started it. Twas agonisingly close to perfect in Art's mix, so I just had to hear it perfected 110%. Art's drums remain because I loved em.

Thanks alot guys, way cool of you all. Yeah Art, to be honest, the reasons I wanted to get it remixed were because
1. I wanted the production to more closely match the other stuff me and Tony are doing.
2. I wanted the bass louder and more bassy. Sounds funny, but your bass was quite trebly tone wise. The note choces were spot on, but the tone is so important.
3. I wanted my main track of lead guitars to line up. Wasn't your fault they didn't in our mix because that always happens when files saved in CEP go into a better programme lol.
It's really shining now. In my eyes it's gone from being about 8/10 to 10/10 on the scale of how I imagined it being when I started it. Glad you like it mate.

Don't think I heard the original but like this. When you hit some of the lower notes on the solo, it gets a bit muddy but I'm guessing you were using the neck pup for most of the sounds and they DO get muddy. Very nice subdued soloing with a great build. Very nice. 5 stars.

Thanks mate. Aye, ol' neck pupp there on Strat. I have since swapped necks with my two Strats and the clarity of notes on neck pickup on my Mexi with the USA neck is improved, which is cool. Should come in handy for further tunes in future. My other Strat should become really nice for bluesy and clean stuff... that's my plan for it anyway lol.
Thanks again Chris :thumb: :)
