You know, this reminds me of a very embarassing incident in a nightclub.

As all good stories, this starts off with the line, "I was very, very, pissed !"

Anyway, I was very, very, pissed. Me and a friend of mine used to regularly frequent the nightclubs of Portsmouth (for Goport's sake, The Pyramids, Route 66, Zoom, The Green Lizard was it ?). Anyway, we used to go there with a couple of female friends as well. Just to enjoy each other's company, be safe in a foursome, and just drink and dance till closing time.

Well, I cannot remember where the thought entered my head, but I was talking to one of the girls one night and she said something that only a bloke could say. In my pissed state, I remembered this scene from somewhere, where in order to check whether the woman speaking was a bloke or not, you grabbed them between the legs - their crotch, as Rain so rightly says.

Well, the scene that I pictured in my head was obviously from Viz or some comedy sketch show, whereupon all ended up laughing in the scene that I remember.

How different it is in real life. In my drunken state, I checked to see whether the girl was a woman using this method from the scene I vaguely recalled. Only for the woman to fall silent, eyes bulge with shock, and then go absolutely ballistic at me. I tried to prostest my innocence and explain that I was only checking due to the manly comment she had made.

But it was no good. I learnt a harsh lesson that comedy sketches do not happen that way in real life !!!

I didn't learn not to get so pissed when I went out in future though !!!

Nah, she just kept saying that she couldn't believe that I had done it and really wouldn't let it lie. Good job I knew her so well as it really could have gone pear shaped and down the route of sexual harassment and all that which when you get down to it, was what it was.

Just didn't think at all, and in hindsight, it wasn't funny in the slightest in reality !

Anyway, I think this proves that I'm best sticking to what I am good at - getting pissed and accompanying a donner kebab on the way home !
