Yes, but I try and practice as often as possible. :wtf: Perhaps I am a spaz at both:tard: Nah....I make a mean dinner with a Wendy's backed potato and pour the 99 cent Chilli on top of it. ;)

Anyone else actually try this? I did. It took me quite a while to get the tortillas down but I think I found the secret...a rather hot pan. I usually cook at medium or less. The grill for these tortillas should be more like med high to high.
I tried a couple extra recipes too...these ones are really fucking good in comparison. I think I'm going to reduce the lard a tad though....maybe try the half butter half lard thing he shows in the video (I went with his "suggested" lard only version).
But yeah, if the pan isn't hot the tortillas don't puff up. They cook too slow and end up heavy like lumps of cardboard crap. The dog will still eat them but he looks at me like I'm on drugs for a bit first. Today was the first time that they all worked and I didn't throw half at the dog and have to be stuck with the few that sort of worked.
Oh, and the corn oil for frying potatoes is a MAJOR yes. I thought olive oil was good, and it is...but corn oil is the fucking bomb for that. Probably nowhere near as good for you...but with 1/4 cup of lard going in you already...who gives a fuck! You only live once....and some people not even that.

LMAO! :wtf: I bet it took him more than ten minutes to fix up all that stuff, not to mention cleaning all the mess after using so many kitchen utensils. IŽd need to get up an hour earlier to fix me that kinda breakfast everyday, no way! Get real, I need the sleep.

hehehe. It takes more like 40+ minutes though I'm sure after making it a few more times the time will get compressed. Makes a great dinner though, or weekend brunch. It's also great for feeding visitors.

40? gimme a break man. BTW, much easier to fix up a "potatoe omlett", "tortilla de patatas". Trick is to use a dish with a slight smaller diameter than the pan though, but hey, this northern gal looks much better doing it,
